According to Sammobile, Samsung has decided to strengthen its supply chain and build a new assembly plant in Vietnam. This decision is based on the pressure Samsung Display is facing from Chinese display manufacturers.

According to the plan, the OLED factory will be located in Yen Phong, Bac Ninh, with an investment of $1.8 billion, and the new factory is expected to become operational in 2026.
Yen Phong, Bac Ninh is where Samsung has experience operating production lines for medium and small-sized OLED and foldable displays. Therefore, building a new factory there allows Samsung to leverage cost and resource advantages. This is also part of the company's global strategy to develop flexible manufacturing centers.
This new OLED production line in Vietnam will be used to assemble OLED panels for laptops and tablets, helping Samsung expand its market and optimize profits. This demonstrates Samsung's vision in seizing opportunities as the demand for high-quality displays in mobile devices continues to grow.
