Samsung Vietnam inaugurates rooftop solar power project in Bac Ninh

(Chinhphu.vn) - On July 31, 2025, in Bac Ninh, Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) officially inaugurated the rooftop solar power project at the SEV factory in Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh.

The rooftop solar project at SEV is expected to produce clean electricity equivalent to 2.59 million kWh per year.

Samsung Vietnam pioneers green transformation

The rooftop solar project is being implemented in cooperation with CME Solar at the SEV plant with a capacity of 2.38 MWp, expected to produce clean electricity equivalent to 2.59 million kWh per year.

Notably, after three months of construction, the project has officially come into operation, marking a meaningful start in accompanying the Vietnamese Government 's goal of achieving net zero emissions, and at the same time being the starting point of Samsung Vietnam's Net Zero goal.

The rooftop solar power project at the SEV factory is an important milestone in the journey to realize the sustainable development strategy of Samsung, the largest FDI enterprise in Vietnam.
