The Vietnam International Piano Competition & Festival (VIPCF) was first held with the aim of becoming one of the most important music events in Vietnam.
With the sponsorship of the Polish Embassy in Vietnam on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Poland diplomatic relations, the first edition of VIPCF will be named after Frédéric Chopin.
In addition, the program is also honored to have the patronage of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, the Fryderyk Chopin Institute of Poland and the Bosendorfer piano company.
With a new model consulted and built by a team of international piano artists and professors and the slogan "A united stage - A wonderful stage", we hope to eliminate the gaps in level and age, inspiring each other instead of creating boundaries and inferiority complexes among candidates.
VIPCF hopes to help all Piano students, regardless of level and age, have the opportunity to exchange internationally and experience professional performance on stage at the highest level.
VIPCF includes 4 categories: Concert Pianist Category; Professional Category; Open Category; Theme-based Category
VIPCF will open registration from November 25, 2024, including two rounds: COMPETITION - organized in the form of receiving and grading online and FESTIVAL - organized directly at two concert halls of the Vietnam National Academy of Music from April 3-8, 2025 with the participation of performances by candidates who passed round 1.
With a rich reward system, in addition to cash, students and young piano artists will be invited to perform in many professional concerts in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asia, especially the opportunity to perform with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra in the next season, perform a Concerto in Bangkok (Thailand), perform solo at the birthplace of Frédéric Chopin, Żelazowa Wola (Poland) and Bosendorfer's salon in Vienna (Austria) as well as many other concerts in Vietnam.
In addition, VIPCF also offers the opportunity to perform through many satellite events of the program, participate in masterclasses with the world's leading artists and especially admire the special exhibition about Fryderyk Chopin with attractive content provided by the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Poland.
