Morning of October 2, preliminary conclusion of the Economic Development Cooperation Agreement

A conference to review the implementation of the Agreement on socio -economic development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and several localities in the North and North Central regions for the period 2023-2024; and the plan for implementation in the period 2024-2025 will be held on the morning of October 2nd.

On the morning of October 2nd, a preliminary review was held on the Agreement on Economic and Social Development Cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and several localities in the North and North Central regions.

Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Northern and North Central Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2023-2025.

On September 23, Thanh Hoa Online Newspaper reported that the conference was scheduled to be held on September 27. However, the Organizing Committee adjusted the time to the morning of October 2 to allow provinces and cities in the North and North Central regions to focus on overcoming the consequences of typhoons No. 3 and No. 4.

The conference was held to review the socio-economic development cooperation agreements between Ho Chi Minh City and several localities in the North and North Central regions up to 2025, signed on March 25, 2023; and to orient, build, and finalize the socio-economic development cooperation plan between Ho Chi Minh City and several localities in the North and North Central regions for the period 2024-2025.

The conference was chaired by leaders of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Nam, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue.

During the period of 2023-2024, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and the northern and north-central provinces paid attention to directing local authorities at all levels to create favorable conditions for businesses and investors to implement the contents of the signed cooperation agreement.

Ho Chi Minh City has implemented 3 out of 3 regional coordination contents for the 2023-2024 period; and 33 bilateral coordination contents between Ho Chi Minh City and a number of localities in the North and North Central regions during the 2023-2024 period.
