On the morning of April 30, pagodas across the country rang bells simultaneously.

According to Official Dispatch No. 162/HĐTS-VP1 signed and issued by Most Venerable Elder Thich Thien Nhon, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the Great Victory of Spring 1975 was a great victory in the history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people, crystallizing the strength of great national unity, including the great contributions of monks, nuns, and Buddhists of Vietnam.

In response to this important event, the Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee at all levels and the Venerables at pagodas and monasteries across the country will hang the national flag and decorate banners with the slogan "Warmly welcome the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)" and "Religion - Nation - Socialism".

In particular, at exactly 6:00 a.m. on April 30, all pagodas and monasteries will simultaneously ring the bell and drum three times and organize chanting to pray for national peace and prosperity, dedicating merit to heroic martyrs and those who sacrificed for the cause of national independence.

On this occasion, the Church also encourages the organization of activities to visit and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers and families with revolutionary contributions, demonstrating the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking".
