New train set to launch soon to celebrate April 30th

Brigade 96 (Artillery Corps), agencies, departments and branches in Ho Chi Minh City are busy preparing a program to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Meanwhile, the Railway industry also organized a number of activities on trains and at stations to respond to the April 30th holiday, notably the rolling out of a pair of trains named "Unification Trains", SE1 and SE4.

Train SE1 will depart from Hanoi station, SE4 will depart from Saigon station on the evening of April 29. The pair will meet at the same time at 12 noon on April 30 at Da Nang station.

This is a specially designed train car, bearing the mark of a historical event.

"Passengers on the train will receive some surprise gifts because this is not just a normal train ride but a journey that helps visitors look at history to understand and appreciate the value of peace in the present time," said a representative of the unit.

In addition, the Railway industry added a number of train cars to the period. April 30 holiday serving the travel needs of people and tourists.

Specifically, on the line Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City , in addition to 5 pairs of Thong Nhat trains running every day, the unit will operate 2 more SE9 trains on April 29-30.

Line Hanoi - Hai Phong There will be additional trains LP10 and HP4 departing from Hai Phong station, and HD2 running from Hai Duong station on May 2-4.

With regional destinations In the Central region , the unit added 4 trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, 8 trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh province), 6 trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province), 2 trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan province), 2 trains from Hanoi to Da Nang and 4 trains from Hanoi to Dong Hoi (Quang Binh)...

Previously, the Railway sector had organized early ticket sales and added more trains on key routes compared to normal days to meet the increased travel demand of people, ensuring that passengers could easily buy tickets for the April 30 holiday.
