Man Utd beat Newport 4-2.

Manchester United visited Newport, a team currently playing in League Two (equivalent to the fourth tier of English football). Manager Ten Hag can be pleased with his team's effective attacking performance, scoring four goals. However, the Red Devils' victory still leaves some blemishes as they conceded two goals.

Coach Ten Hag respected his opponents and fielded his strongest team when playing away at Rodney Parade.

The away team got off to a good start, taking the lead in the 6th minute when Ganarcho delivered a well-placed pass from the left for Fernandes to finish from just outside the penalty area, the ball going low into the left corner of the goal.

Just six minutes after opening the scoring, Man Utd doubled their lead. Dalot passed the ball from the right to Mainoo, who curled a right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area; the ball hit the inside of the post and went into the net.

After scoring two early goals, Man Utd maintained control of the game. Newport had very little possession (25% of the time), however, they created quite a few attacking opportunities that threatened Bayindir's goal.

In the 36th minute, Morris curled a shot from the right side of the midfield into the left corner, leaving goalkeeper Bayindir helpless. Indeed, the Manchester United defense and goalkeeper were not to blame for this goal, as the home team's midfielder produced a superb finish.

The goal against Man Utd boosted the morale of the Newport players. Two minutes into the second half, Newport surprisingly equalized 2-2, with Evans tapping the ball in from less than 5 meters.

Manchester United's defense performed poorly in the second half, particularly in midfield, as they were unable to make accurate interceptions. As a result, the home team had no difficulty creating scoring opportunities, even matching Manchester United's chances despite having twice as much possession.

Nevertheless, Man Utd's finishing was still more accurate. In the 68th minute, Shaw curled a right-footed shot that hit the post and bounced out, inadvertently landing at Antony's feet. The Brazilian midfielder was quick to tap the ball into the empty net; the Newport goalkeeper had dived for Shaw's shot and hadn't yet recovered when Antony scored on the rebound.

Man Utd's 4-2 victory was sealed in the fourth minute of added time, after Mainoo's unsuccessful shot, the ball bounced around the edge of the penalty area, Hojlund was quick to grab the ball and score, securing a 4-2 win for Man Utd.

Liverpool have a run of 19 consecutive unbeaten matches.

Klopp's Liverpool entertained fans with a resounding victory in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Kop beat Norwich City 5-2 at Anfield to extend their unbeaten run to 19 consecutive matches (17 wins, 2 draws).

Playing dominantly from the opening whistle, Liverpool took the lead after just 16 minutes, with Jones opening the scoring. Norwich surprisingly equalized just 6 minutes after falling behind, with Gibson scoring. However, Liverpool didn't take long to regain the lead when Nunez scored in the 28th minute.

The Kop went into halftime leading 2-1, with victory firmly in the hands of the home team when Jota made it 3-1 in the 53rd minute, but Liverpool didn't stop there. Nine minutes later, a resounding victory was evident for Liverpool after Van Dijk's goal, bringing the score to 4-1.

Norwich continued to find the back of the net, with Sainz reducing the deficit to 2-4 in the 69th minute, but the visitors had no hope of a comeback. Gravenberch sealed the 5-2 victory for the Anfield side in the fifth minute of added time.
