On the evening of August 23, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province announced the admission scores for the second round of the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
Specifically, the whole Thai Binh province has 1,532 candidates admitted to 29 high schools in the second round. The highest standard score is Nguyen Duc Canh High School with 36.6 points; the lowest is Hung Nhan High School and Thai Ninh High School with 27.1 points.

With the results of the first round of candidates announced on August 20, 14,763 students passed (of which 525 students passed the specialized schools and 14,238 students passed the 29 high schools), after 2 rounds of admission after the inspection conclusion, the whole Thai Binh province had 16,295 students passed the high school entrance exam.
Candidates who want to have their exam results reviewed must submit an application to the exam registration office before 5:00 p.m. on August 25 to complete the review procedure. Candidates who are not admitted to high school can apply to a private high school or a district or city vocational education and training center according to their wishes.
Schools update the review data to the primary admission system; compile and submit the list to the Department of Education and Training on August 26. The Department of Education and Training will organize the review according to regulations and notify the results to schools before the opening day.
Previously, public opinion in Thai Binh province was stirred up by the results of the first and second exams of the entrance exam to grade 10 of Thai Binh province's high school for the 2024-2025 school year.
Ms. PTD (47 years old), residing in Nam Hong commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province, is the person who sent a complaint to the authorities requesting clarification of the enrollment work in the 10th grade entrance exam in Thai Binh province for the 2024-2025 school year.
In the petition, Ms. D. stated that the entrance exam for grade 10 high school in the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province took place on June 6-8, 2024, and the exam scores were announced and available for lookup on June 16. When seeing the exam scores, my family and many parents, students, and teachers of secondary schools in the whole province were extremely surprised and upset because the scores did not accurately reflect the students' test results.
Also in the petition, Ms. D. said that after the first results were announced, the parents submitted a request for a review. On July 16, the results of the review confirmed that many candidates' exams were graded incorrectly. After the review, the scores of the subjects, especially math and literature, were very different from the previously graded scores.
On August 19, the inspection team of Thai Binh province concluded the scandal in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in this province.

Verification test results show that during the process of performing the essay test, the number of test papers that were manually checked for correctness was only 0.71%, not ensuring at least 20% of the essay test papers as required.
The inspection team conducted manual beat matching of 100% of the essay exams (no re-scoring of the exams), and determined that: 2,997 exams were out of rhythm, causing 2,750 exams to have incorrect scores; 49 exams had errors in the scoring and entry process, of which 19 exams had incorrect scores compared to the published score sheet.
The total number of essay exams with incorrect scores was 2,769, of which 1,368 exams had scores higher than the announced scores; 1,401 exams had scores lower than the announced scores. The total number of candidates with incorrect admission scores was 1,589 candidates. Of which, 781 candidates had total admission scores higher than the announced scores; 808 candidates had total admission scores lower than the announced scores...
On August 21, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued Decision No. 1356/QD-UBND on extending the temporary suspension period for Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien, Director of the Department of Education and Training, to serve the inspection of the organization of the 2024-2025 grade 10 entrance exam in Thai Binh province from August 21, the extended suspension period is 15 working days.
