At around 4pm, D5 Street (Binh Thanh District) was flooded by heavy rain that lasted for about 30 minutes. The deeply flooded road made it difficult for people to move around.

Through observation on the UDI Maps application (HCMC Urban Drainage Company), at around 4:00 p.m., Ung Van Khiem Street (Binh Thanh District) was also flooded.
The application also shows that Ho Hoc Lam Street (Binh Tan District) is also flooded.
Vo Van Kiet Street (from Rach Ba Luu to An Lac Roundabout) is slightly flooded and this application recommends that vehicles limit traffic.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, tomorrow (May 16), the heat wave will continue in Ho Chi Minh City and last until the end of May 17. The highest temperature is forecast to be from 35-36 degrees Celsius; the lowest humidity is from 50%-55%. The hot weather during the day is from 12:30 to 16:00.
Expanding to the entire South, tonight and tomorrow there will be variable clouds. Sunny days, some places will be hot. Tonight there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, tomorrow evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, some places will have moderate to heavy rain. Thunderstorms may have tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
The lowest temperature is from 24-27 degrees Celsius, the highest is from 32-35 degrees Celsius, some places are over 35 degrees Celsius. From May 19, rain tends to spread to many areas.
