Circulation stamp for diseased pork

Sharing information about the case of the CP Company being accused of selling “dirty meat” that has caused a stir in public opinion in recent days, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) said that the incident reported by the people happened in 2022, at a slaughterhouse in Hau Giang. At the time of the report, the slaughterhouse only reported that the pigs had skin symptoms, there was no report of disease and the proposed treatment plan was to feed the fish.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy, if the pig has dermatitis and requires heat treatment and conversion of use, a round stamp must be placed, but according to the signs and images provided by the people, this is a sick pig that must be destroyed and a triangular stamp must be placed. However, the stamp on the carcass is a square stamp (a stamp that is allowed to circulate on the market), showing that the pork has been stamped incorrectly.
