On the morning of August 20th, in an interview with a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Giap Ha Bac, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district (Binh Thuan province), confirmed that a directive had been issued instructing the district's departments and agencies to coordinate with Gia An commune to develop a plan for the forced demolition of illegally constructed villas.

The illegally constructed villa has been ordered to be demolished.
Previously, on March 15, 2022, during an inspection, the District People's Committee discovered and imposed an administrative fine on Mr. CTS (residing in Hamlet 1, Gia An Commune) for the act of constructing a building without a construction permit.
The District People's Committee requires that within 90 days from the date of issuance of the administrative penalty decision, Mr. S must complete the application dossier requesting the competent authority to issue a construction permit for the land area that conforms to the planning.
Despite the deadline having passed, Mr. S still failed to complete the application for a construction permit as required. He even continued to construct additional structures.
Subsequently, the People's Committee of Tánh Linh district worked with and requested the owner of the aforementioned construction project to voluntarily dismantle the illegally constructed building.
However, the investor has still not complied with the directive of the Chairman of the District People's Committee. In November 2022, the district continued to send a document urging Mr. S to voluntarily dismantle the illegal construction.
To date, the developer has not yet demolished the illegally constructed building.
"The Department of Economy and Infrastructure is tasked with leading and coordinating with the Department of Justice, relevant agencies, and the People's Committee of Gia An commune to develop a plan for the forced demolition of Mr. CTS's illegal construction. This must be completed before September 10, 2024," the Chairman of Tanh Linh district directed.
Regarding this matter, on August 19th, the Department of Construction of Binh Thuan province requested the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district to handle the responsibilities of organizations and individuals involved in the aforementioned violations. The results of the handling should be reported to the Department of Construction before October 30th, 2024.
