According to a report by the People's Committee of Phuoc Thanh commune, by July 2025, the total livestock population in the commune included: 83,613 pigs, over 1 million poultry, nearly 900 buffaloes and cows, along with many small-scale livestock farms and concentrated farms in 17 hamlets.
The People's Committee of the commune has proactively developed a plan for preventing and controlling livestock and poultry diseases in 2025; coordinated with the regional Livestock and Veterinary Station to organize vaccination campaigns with high rates, closely monitored diseases, and strengthened propaganda, inspected livestock facilities, and guided people to properly declare their livestock according to regulations.

Mr. Tran Phu Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Phuoc Thanh Commune People's Committee in implementing all professional contents after the merger. Phuoc Thanh Commune has clearly demonstrated its role and responsibility in state management of livestock and veterinary medicine, from coordinating vaccination, monitoring diseases, managing livestock registration to handling potential outbreaks.
Bau Bang commune currently has over 31,000 pigs and more than 252,000 poultry. From the beginning of 2025 until now, there have been no outbreaks of dangerous infectious diseases in livestock and poultry in the commune. Previously, the authorities also carried out two mass vaccination campaigns for livestock and poultry in 2025.
According to Mr. Tran Phu Cuong, to tighten management, the head of the sub-department directly inspected disease prevention and control work in many areas, and also sent documents to the People's Committees of communes and wards outlining new functions and tasks when operating a two-tiered local government, proactively coordinating disease prevention and control.
