Under the witness of Vietnam's Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang, Singapore's Minister of Manpower and Minister in charge of Energy, Science and Technology, Ministry of Trade and Industry - Dr. Tan See Leng and Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu; Dr. Robert Yap, Chairman of YCH Group, Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort TM performed the activation ceremony of the Extended Air Cargo Warehouse (OACT), a strategic functional subdivision in the multimodal logistics ecosystem of Vietnam SuperPort TM .

This is an important event, not only opening up new options in freight transport but also demonstrating the cooperation between Vietnamese and Singaporean enterprises in promoting Vietnam's foreign economic position in the global value chain.
Previously, at the World Congress of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FWC 2025) held in Hanoi, Vietnam SuperPort TM also "revealed" important information about the development strategy and operating plan of OACT.
As one of the first long-haul air cargo warehouses in Vietnam, OACT pioneers in fully integrating functions as an “outside airport cargo terminal”, providing services: customs clearance, security screening, storage, loading and unloading of ULDs (unloading equipment), transportation to the airport...
Here, goods will be processed according to strict control procedures from the reception stage to the transportation to the aircraft. Built and equipped with modern facilities that fully meet international cargo security standards, OACT is capable of receiving and processing goods from many businesses and carriers from demanding markets such as the US and Europe.

With a strategic location on the Northern economic corridor, connecting more than 20 large industrial parks with major seaports and airports such as Noi Bai, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and extending to Yunnan, Kunming (China), OACT plays the role of a cargo transit center between Vietnam, the China - ASEAN region, creating a direct bridge to the international aviation network and key markets such as the US, Europe, and Asia.
According to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort TM : “ OACT is a groundbreaking initiative, considered as an “extended arm” of the airport cargo terminal system. Putting OACT into operation not only completes the multimodal logistics ecosystem of Vietnam SuperPort TM but also contributes to reducing up to 25% of cargo pressure at major airport terminals, expanding the ability to connect goods from domestic to the world.”
With the orientation of being a modern and smart cargo terminal, OACT will apply technological advances: AI, Robotics... Specifically, Vietnam SuperPort TM has cooperated with Google and Kyndryl to research and develop new generation AI integrated into security screening machines to detect prohibited and dangerous goods, at the same time, applying AI in automatically authenticating cargo documents to enhance cargo safety and security.
Along with that, with the support of the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Vietnam SuperPort™ is researching and developing Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV); Robot loader; Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) to automate the entire logistics process, expected to increase operating productivity by 35% while reducing error rate by 50%.

OACT is expected to be fully digitized with an integrated logistics platform, allowing businesses to track, manage and book services online on a single system from customs declaration, security control to electronic payment. This is an important step towards building a fully digitized aviation supply chain, connecting Vietnam with the smart logistics network of the ASEAN region and the world.
According to Dr. Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group: “The official operation of OACT affirms the stature of the strong cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Singapore, demonstrating the capacity for strategic planning, technology sharing and a common vision in building a smart, green and regionally connected supply chain. This is an important foundation for ASEAN to rise to a central role in global trade.”
Vietnam SuperPort™ is a multimodal logistics port covering an area of up to 83 hectares with a total investment of 300 million USD located in Phu Tho province. This is a strategic joint venture between T&T Group of businessman Do Quang Hien and YCH Group, a leading supply chain solutions provider from Singapore with nearly 70 years of leading experience in the industry. Vietnam SuperPort ™ aims to enhance Vietnam's integration into the global supply chain, reduce logistics costs and strengthen the country's competitive advantage in international trade. With the goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2040, Vietnam SuperPort™ is positioned to become the leading green and connected logistics hub in Southeast Asia.
