The bridge "tells stories" of love and peace.

The Kiss Bridge was created by Sun Group and Archea Associati - a world-leading design firm from Italy - and the talented architect Marco Casamonti, the man behind iconic national landmarks around the world, personally sketched out every detail of the project.

This is also Marco Casamonti's first project in Vietnam, and it seems he has poured all his love and creativity into this latest work.

"Beyond the function of an ordinary bridge, this is a dream project," the architect asserted.

Drawing design inspiration from the legendary love story of Ông Ngâu Bà Ngâu and the classic Italian love story of Romeo and Juliet, "The Proposal" is a work that embodies both Vietnamese and Italian culture.

The bridge is made up of two independent branches, 400 meters long, stretching out into the vast ocean, merging into a unified whole but not touching, separated by a distance of 30 cm.

This was the architect's intention: to make that small gap resemble the vibrations of love, and only "filled" by the sunset and the sweet kisses of couples from both sides of the bridge, creating a dazzling, shimmering, and incredibly romantic scene amidst the sea and sky of Phu Quoc Island.

More than just a symbol of eternal love, the Engagement Bridge also conveys a message of friendship, peace, and connection between people and lands. Even more significantly, it marks 50 years of cooperation between Vietnam and Italy.

The space between the two branches of the bridge is filled with sweet kisses and the romantic sunset over the sea of Phu Quoc.

A new symbol for tourism in Phu Quoc and Vietnam.

Following the Golden Bridge in Da Nang, the Kissing Bridge is expected to create a sensation, establishing a new symbol for tourism in Phu Quoc and Vietnam. The bridge's design has been "conceived" over two years, aiming to set world records upon its opening.

A marriage proposal is like a soft silk ribbon stretching across the ocean.

According to the architects involved in building the bridge, the total weight of the Kiss Bridge is estimated to be 6,000 tons. If you do the math, this weight is equivalent to 600 buses.

The two ends of the bridge feature cantilevered spans (a type of bridge structure that is fixed horizontally at one end, with the other end free) of up to 25m, an unprecedented record for a pedestrian bridge over the sea.

The engineers and architects also cleverly calculated that the sun would "fall" precisely into the gap between the two branches of the bridge before completely disappearing into the sea.

This moment would be most perfect during the last seven days of the year, from Christmas to January 1st. In that beautiful and enchanting light, a kiss or a friendly handshake would be celebrated magically, against the cinematic backdrop of Sunset Town.

At night, the bridge takes on a different, romantic beauty – like a luminous glow against the dark sea, thanks to its advanced LED Dynamic lighting technology.

The "Marriage Proposal" also inspired Sun Group to collaborate with ECA2 to develop the concept of Kiss The Stars, a show utilizing multimedia performance technology and performed on the largest seawater screen in Asia.

Also centered around love, the show tells the beautiful love story of a young man from Sunset Town and a female warrior from a distant universe in a battle to protect the galaxy from destruction.

In the final scene, when peace is restored, the two characters share a sweet kiss against the backdrop of a marriage proposal.

The show skillfully explains the origins of the "Proposal," which was born as a symbol of beautiful love and also conveys humanistic values about preserving and protecting nature, and protecting wild animals from the threat of extinction.

Upon its debut, Kiss The Stars will be the largest water-based water show in Asia.

Upon its release, Kiss The Stars is expected to set many world records, such as a water screen with an area of nearly 1,000 m2 and a seating capacity of up to 5,000, 2-3 times the seating capacity of similar shows in many countries.

A representative from the investor, Sun Group, stated: "We want to collaborate with leading architects and engineers from around the world to create a new symbol for Vietnamese tourism, so that international friends will know Vietnam as a place with stunning natural beauty, unique culture, a new promised land of the world, and so that Vietnamese people can be proud in front of friends from all over the world."

Later this year, the "Proposal" and "Kiss The Stars" attractions, boasting numerous world records, promise to create a "seismic shift," making Phu Quoc the focal point of tourism and a paradise for fun and entertainment in Vietnam.
