Students participating in interviews at HUTECH IT Open Day 2024

Representatives from HUTECH and participating businesses performed the opening ceremony for the event.

Taking place on March 29th, the event, organized by the Faculty of Information Technology of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) in collaboration with businesses and organizations, provided a space for students from HUTECH and other universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas to meet recruiters and apply for suitable job positions.

Most of the potential candidates who came to apply and interview were graduating students in Information Technology, Information Security, Data Science , Management Information Systems, and other related fields.

At the event, students had the opportunity to meet directly with company representatives at the booths and access recruitment information for diverse positions such as Software Engineer, Service Solution Consultant, Software Tester, Telecommunications Engineer, etc.

Many promising young candidates confidently attend in-person interviews with recruiters.

With on-site interviews, students experienced the processes of a real job interview, gaining experience through feedback from company representatives to enrich their professional skills and prepare for the job market. Many high-achieving students caught the eye of recruiters and found attractive jobs right at the job fair.

Speaking at this year's event, Mr. Le Phuoc Cuong - Deputy Head of Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Departmentat FPT IS - said that the company is currently looking to recruit hundreds of students for various positions such as Programming, Testing, PM Implementation, System Administration, Networking, Security, and some positions related to new technologies such as AI.

"I was very impressed by the large scale of HUTECH IT Open Day 2024 with so many businesses participating. The atmosphere of the event was also extremely vibrant with many interesting experiential activities for students. I personally think the students are very dynamic, have a solid foundation of knowledge, and are able to adapt quickly to new jobs and technologies," Mr. Cuong commented.

Mr. Le Phuoc Cuong expressed his admiration for the scale of HUTECH IT OPEN DAY 2024.

Nguyen Hoang Dan, a fourth-year Information Technology student at the university, shared that he wishes to apply for a network engineer position at VNPT HCM. He has prepared a complete application and several certificates he has accumulated over the past time.

"I feel that the event is becoming more professionally organized and visually appealing. This is a very attractive job fair because it attracts many large companies to support and create opportunities for us students to find internships and jobs to prepare for our future," said Hoang Dan.

In addition to in-person interviews at the booths, students participating in HUTECH IT Open Day 2024 also had the opportunity to experience visually stunning PCs and the latest mobile devices in the exhibition space showcasing modern information technology products and solutions from various businesses.

The event provided a vibrant space for academic activities.

In particular, academic exchange activities, such as drone control competitions and esports tournaments, were held for the first time at the event, featuring exciting contests. This was the ideal meeting place for students to hone their knowledge and skills in high technology.

Many scholarships totaling over 200 million VND were awarded to students.

Within the framework of the event, the school signed cooperation agreements with 12 businesses, continuing the University-Business model that the school has pioneered and affirmed its value in providing high-quality human resources in the past.

In addition, dozens of scholarships for courses and cash grants totaling over 200 million VND were awarded to students by businesses and the school, creating great motivation for them to continue improving their expertise and skills, ready to become outstanding human resources and contribute positive value to society.
