Vietnamese students break achievement records at Huawei ICT Competition

DNVN - At the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the Global Final of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024 - 2025 on May 24, the Vietnamese delegation with 3 teams of 9 talented students won 3 high prizes: first prize in the Cloud Track content, second prize in the Computing Track content and third prize in the Network Track content.

The Huawei ICT Competition 2024 - 2025 recorded a record scale, attracting more than 210,000 students and lecturers from over 2,000 colleges and universities in over 100 countries and regions. After national and regional qualifying rounds, 179 teams from 48 countries and regions won tickets to the Global Finals, competing in multiple categories for 4 consecutive days, from May 21 to May 24.

The focus of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024 - 2025 is the intense 8-hour Practical Competition at Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, China. Students participated in 3 contents: Cloud Track, Computing Track and Network Track to demonstrate their in-depth knowledge, excellent practical skills and teamwork for the common task. Of which, Cloud Track and Computing Track require candidates to use Huawei Cloud to conduct experiments; Network Track requires candidates to be proficient in eNSP simulation software to simulate the network architecture of an enterprise.

Vietnamese students break achievement records at Huawei ICT Competition 2024 - 2025.

Participating in the Global Finals, the Vietnamese Team - consisting of 9 excellent students participating in 3 competitions, demonstrated their talent and courage, winning resounding victories in all 3 competitions. Specifically:

First prize in Cloud Track: The winning student group includes Bui Quoc An - Academy of Cryptography Engineering; Dau Van Khoa - Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, Tran Hai Dang - University of Technology, VNU -HCM City.

Second prize in Computing Track: The winning student group includes Mai Thi Phuong and Nguyen Tu Kien - Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology; Duong Van Hiep - FPT University Hanoi.

Third prize in Network Track: The winning student group includes Le Nhu Quynh and Dinh Hoang Anh - Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology; Nguyen Le Hong Khanh - Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The first, second and third prizes also marked a record achievement of the Vietnamese delegation after 3 years of participating in the competition, affirming the capacity of Vietnamese students in the world knowledge arena. Previously, the Vietnamese delegation had consecutively won third prize in the Network Track category at the Huawei ICT Competition 2023 - 2024 Global Final, as well as third prize in the Cloud Track category at the Huawei ICT Competition 2022 - 2023 Global Final.

Launched in 2015, the Huawei ICT Competition marks Huawei's 10-year journey of bringing the annual ICT playground to students majoring in information technology around the world. With the theme "Connect, Glory, Future" and the slogan "IC The Future", the competition aims to create a platform for international competition and exchange, improving students' knowledge and practical skills. Since its first event in 2015, the Huawei ICT Competition has recorded nearly 1 million students from more than 2,000 colleges and universities in 100 countries and regions participating.
