The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just approved and announced the results of the administrative reform index assessment for 2025 for departments, agencies, and People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones in the city.
This is one of the important measures for evaluating the effectiveness of administrative reform, the quality of governance, and the level of service provided to the people by agencies and units.
The results show that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training achieved 90.62 points, ranking first among all departments and agencies. The Department of Internal Affairs came in second with 90.57 points, and the City People's Committee Office ranked third with 90.44 points.
At the local level, the People's Committee of Tan My Ward topped the rankings with 92.5 points. The next two units were the People's Committee of Binh Tan Ward with 91.96 points and the People's Committee of Phu Nhuan Ward with 91.78 points.
Notably, the 2025 results mark a significant leap forward for the city's education sector in administrative reform.
While the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training was ranked 23rd in 2023, it has risen to 6th place in 2024.
In 2025, the unit will continue its strong breakthrough to rank first in the entire group of departments and agencies for the first time.
The consistent improvement year after year reflects significant progress in the leadership, management, and implementation of administrative reform tasks within the sector.
Ranking first in the 2025 Administrative Reform Index is the result of the synchronized implementation of numerous administrative reform solutions at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training over the past period.
In particular, the city's education sector has focused on promoting the application of information technology, accelerating digital transformation, standardizing administrative procedures, and improving the quality of service for organizations and individuals.
This result not only reflects the effectiveness of the unit's management and operation but also demonstrates the determination, sense of responsibility, and continuous efforts of the entire staff of officials and employees in building a modern, professional, open, and transparent administrative system.
Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that to realize Ho Chi Minh City's 2026 theme: "Improving and enhancing the quality of organizational structure - Unlocking institutions - Breaking through infrastructure - Enhancing the efficiency of serving the people," the Department of Education and Training will focus on four key tasks: Consolidating a streamlined and efficient organizational structure; proactively advising on specific mechanisms and policies for education; promoting investment in digital infrastructure and developing the "Digital School" model.
At the same time, the City Department of Education and Training will improve the quality of service to the people, expand online public services, strive to maintain a high level of satisfaction, and continue to hold its leading position in administrative reform.
