In recent days, social networks have been sharing content about “recruiting teachers from kindergarten to junior high school in Nghe An in 2025”. Some posts even include links to purchase exam preparation materials, sample exams, and promise “full support” for those in need.
This information has attracted the attention of many people, especially freelance teachers who are looking for opportunities to become permanent staff. However, the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province has denied the above content.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Thai Van Thanh, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province, said that the province has not issued any decision related to teacher recruitment for the 2025-2026 school year. The decentralization of authority to recruit teachers is awaiting specific instructions after converting to a 2-level local government model.
Representatives of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training affirmed that the information posted on social networking sites is untrue and does not accurately reflect the industry's policies and plans.
Meanwhile, according to a report from the Department of Personnel Organization of Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the current staff of the sector is 41,622 people, compared to the assigned target of 43,094 people, the whole province is still short of 1,472 teachers. Of which, preschools are short of 500 people, primary schools are short of 481 people and secondary schools are short of 491 people.
However, all of these missing quotas were allocated to the old districts before the two-tier local government model was implemented.
The Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province recommends that people stay alert and only trust official sources of information published on the Department's website.
In early July, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training sent a document requesting the Provincial People's Committee to base on Decree 142/2025/ND-CP of the Government to guide the decentralization of authority in recruiting, appointing, and transferring teachers.
The document emphasizes the urgency of unifying recruitment focal points to ensure stable teaching activities for the new school year starting August 15.
