Previously, Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc chaired a conference to contribute ideas to the development of education plans and school programs for the 2025-2026 school year for general education on August 28 and September 10. After listening to school representatives report on education plans and school programs, opinions from departments and discussions at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Bao Quoc made conclusions and issued written instructions to all general schools yesterday afternoon, September 22.

No teaching of the 2018 General Education Program on Saturday mornings

According to Mr. Quoc, the school's educational plan demonstrates the full mobilization of resources in terms of teaching staff, facilities, and existing teaching equipment of the school. When organizing 2 sessions/day, it is necessary to demonstrate the content, duration, time, location, and pay attention to the differentiation of student groups. Implement training for excellent students, review for final grade students and students with unsatisfactory learning results according to current regulations. Develop a plan for assigning teachers to ensure that it is suitable for the conditions of organizing teaching and learning at the educational institution, contributing to the effective implementation of the General Education Program.

Educational institutions implement teaching 2 sessions/day, arrange reasonable timetables, ensure traffic safety in front of the school gate and students' health, and facilitate parents' pick-up and drop-off (different shifts, different times).

The timetable must be arranged scientifically and appropriately, ensuring a reasonable ratio between teaching and educational activities; allocating appropriate time, time of day and week, and appropriate to the psychology of the age group. Arrange the first and second sessions flexibly, without putting pressure on students to organize teaching of subjects and educational activities according to the program and additional educational activities.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City noted that the organization of the second session must be informed and consulted with parents on a voluntary basis, and the class and time must be arranged appropriately for each content to meet the wishes of students and parents. The duration and content of the second session must follow the guidelines for organizing 2 sessions/day for general education from the 2025-2026 school year.

At the same time, it is necessary to ensure stability and consistent implementation throughout an entire level of education.

Also in the direction on organizing 2 sessions/day, the school programs of the Department of Education and Training clearly stated that the principal is responsible for fully studying the legal documents of agencies, organizations, and businesses that wish to coordinate in organizing educational activities (including establishment licenses, operating licenses valid until the end of the expected contract, capacity profiles, curriculum framework, teaching materials). The coordination of organizing educational activities must ensure the principles of publicity and transparency, absolutely not designating the implementing unit. Organize selective educational activities on the basis of ensuring adequate conditions for staff and facilities, in accordance with the capabilities, strengths of the unit and the needs of parents and students.
