Nghe An Department of Science and Technology launches the “Techfest Nghe An Open 2026” competition.

Aiming to promote the innovative startup ecosystem and spread the spirit of innovation among businesses, youth, and entrepreneurs, the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology officially launched the "Nghe An Open 2026 Innovative Startup Talent Search Competition" - Techfest Nghe An Open 2026.

This year's competition, themed "Aspiration of the Lam River - Shining in Nghe An," is organized on a larger scale, with the participation of individuals, groups of individuals, businesses, and startups from within and outside the province with promising innovative startup ideas and projects.

Through the program, startups not only have the opportunity to compete but also participate in in-depth training and mentoring activities with leading experts; connect with investment funds, businesses, and startup support organizations domestically and internationally. This is also an opportunity for projects to promote their products, refine their business models, and enhance their competitiveness in the market.

The competition consists of several rounds with a specific schedule: application submission until August 15, 2026; training and preliminary rounds from September 1-20, 2026; semi-final rounds from September 20-25, 2026; and the final round tentatively scheduled for October 5, 2026.

The total prize money for the competition amounts to 228 million VND, along with numerous post-competition project development support programs. In addition, participating teams will have the opportunity to access a network of experts, investors, and innovation support programs in the province.

Techfest Nghe An Open 2026 will continue to be a platform connecting the startup community, contributing to promoting innovation, technology transfer, and the formation of new business models with high practical value. The competition focuses on finding projects with high scientific and technological content, growth potential, commercialization, and market expansion capabilities.
