Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs and the Retired Liaison Committee organized the 35th traditional meeting and New Year celebration for retired officials of the Central Unification Committee, CP72 Committee and retired officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs residing in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
This year, the meeting was held at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs Hall (6 Alexandre de Rhodes, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
Mr. Pham Dut Diem, Acting Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, reported on the Department's activities; announced activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the diplomatic sector in the Southern region and wished a happy New Year to retired officials.

2024 marks a vibrant year in the city's foreign affairs activities. Ho Chi Minh City has effectively taken advantage of bilateral and multilateral cooperation opportunities, affirming its role as the economic and cultural locomotive of the country.
In advisory work, Ho Chi Minh City has issued many important policies such as the Strategy to enhance foreign affairs to 2030, vision 2045; welcomed more than 40 high-ranking foreign delegations, along with many other remarkable achievements.
