The University of Languages and International Studies - Vietnam National University , Hanoi has just announced the score distribution of the first round of the Primary School Student Comprehensive Assessment (PSA) test, which took place on April 18-21.
This is the entrance exam for grade 6 of Foreign Language Secondary School in 2025, organized on computer.
Accordingly, the total number of candidates taking the PSA round 1 exam is up to 2,660. Compared to 2024, the number of candidates taking the first round exam is only about 100 less than the total number of candidates taking the exam in 2024.
The PSA exam still has a second round, taking place over 3 days, May 23-25. There are 4 exam sessions each day.
The number of candidates is expected to increase sharply while this year's enrollment target remains unchanged at 150 students.
Regarding the score distribution of the first round, the average score that candidates achieved was 59.14/100. The lowest score was 28 and the highest score was 95.
Of the 2,660 candidates, 5 scored 91-95 points. No candidate scored 96 or higher.
There are 100 students who scored from 81 to 90 points. From the mark of 76 points and above, there are 240 students who passed. Thus, if we consider from high to low until all 150 quotas are filled, candidates with 75 points or below have little chance of being admitted.

In each specific content, natural sciences and mathematics are the content with the most candidates achieving the highest score. There are 22 candidates achieving the absolute score of 25 points, 63 candidates achieving 23-24 points, 125 candidates achieving 21-22 points.
Social Sciences and Vietnamese had 5 candidates achieving the perfect score of 25/25. 51 candidates achieved 23-24 points, 191 candidates achieved 21-22 points.
English has a maximum score of 50. 9 candidates achieved a score of 49-50. From the score mark of 43 and above, there are 159 candidates passing.



According to the announcement on the official website of the University of Foreign Languages, PSA is a test to assess groups of knowledge, abilities, and skills that students have accumulated in the 2018 primary school generaleducation program. The test is conducted on a computer.
The PSA test results are used as the starting point for admission to grade 6 at Foreign Language Secondary School or other secondary schools in need.
All 5th grade students nationwide can register for this exam, without any restrictions.
The PSA consists of three parts: English, Science and Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Vietnamese. All parts are objective multiple-choice. Each question is scored differently, depending on its difficulty.
The highest weighted section is English, worth 50/100 points with 30 questions. The remaining two sections each have 25/100 points with 15 questions.
Candidates will receive their scores immediately after completing the test. The total time to complete the PSA test is only 70 minutes.
The validity period of PSA test results is 12 months from the date the student participates in the assessment or as specified by the units using the test results.
