The Dak Nong Department of Information and Communications celebrates its 20th anniversary.

On the afternoon of August 29th, the Dak Nong Department of Information and Communications solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary (September 1st, 2004 - September 1st, 2024).
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Y Quang B ' Krong, Standing Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Trong Yen, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Bon, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of the Department of Information and Communications from various periods.

Some notable achievements after 20 years of construction and development of the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Nong province.

After 20 years since its establishment, the Information and Communications sector in Dak Nong has developed strongly, making significant contributions and affirming its mission as a leading unit in the province in digital technology and digital transformation, creating new momentum in digital innovation and information and communication. To date, a widespread multi-layered communication system has been established, affirming its role as the main information flow of society, guiding public opinion, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and contributing to the province's socio-economic development. The core and main force consists of three media outlets (Dak Nong Newspaper, Dak Nong Radio and Television Station, and Nam Nung Magazine). Radio coverage per village is approximately 65%, with over 600 electronic information pages. Cashless payments are increasingly popular among all segments of the population. 100% of businesses in the province have registered for electronic tax payment, and over 98% of total budget revenue is accounted for electronically. Telecommunications and digital infrastructure are gradually fulfilling their role as crucial economic and technical infrastructure for the digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The broadband fiber optic backbone network connects to the centers of all 71 communes, wards, and towns; the 4G mobile coverage rate reaches 99%; the smartphone rate reaches 76.65%; the rate of households using fixed broadband internet is 60.68%; the number of fixed broadband subscribers per 100 people is 16.36; the number of mobile broadband subscribers per 100 people is 90.34; and the initial deployment of 5G mobile networks is underway in the province. With the achievements made, the Dak Nong Department of Information and Communications has been awarded the Emulation Flag and Certificates of Merit for outstanding achievements in emulation movements by the Ministry of Information and Communications , central ministries and agencies, and Dak Nong province, as well as many prestigious awards from the Party, State, and various sectors and levels; 3 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister for outstanding achievements in information and communication work. At the ceremony, the Dak Nong Provincial Steering Committee for Digital Transformation officially launched the Dak Nong Province Digital Transformation Online Competition 2024 and the 60-day intensive campaign "Improving the efficiency of using online public services in Dak Nong province". The campaign will run from September 1st to October 31st, 2024. On this occasion, the Department of Information and Communications also held a meeting to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Information and Communications ngành (August 28th, 1945 - August 28th, 2024).
