According to Plan No. 3099/SYT - TTCB dated October 9, 2025 of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health on sending a medical working group of Gia Lai province to provide medical support to provinces heavily affected after storm No. 11, the Gia Lai Department of Health working group, including 62 officials from the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Medical Centers in the province, will work in Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang provinces to overcome the consequences. severely affected by rain, floods and inundation caused by storms No. 10 and No. 11. The delegation was divided into 2 teams: Team 1 provides medical support in Thai Nguyen province with 31 members led by Doctor CKII Tran Ky Hau - Director of Quy Nhon Medical Center. Team 2 provides medical support in Cao Bang province with 31 members led by Doctor CKII Tran Thuc Kha - Director of Phu Cat Medical Center. The support period is 7 days, from October 11 to 17, 2025. At the same time, the health sector of Cao Bang and Thai Nguyen provinces will be supported with 300kg of Chloramine B chemicals each, and 4,000 family medicine bags including essential medicines (2,000 bags each).
At the meeting, the two units discussed and agreed on the following contents: Implementing disinfection spraying in wards of Cao Bang province; number of medical staff performing disinfection spraying at locations; number of localities in Cao Bang province needing support; agreeing on medical expertise in environmental treatment, disinfection spraying; agreeing on plans to treat domestic water sources, communicating to raise people's awareness of environmental sanitation and disease prevention and control measures.
Speaking at the meeting, Doctor CKII Tran Thuc Kha - Director of Phu Cat Medical Center, head of the working delegation expressed his deep sympathy and shared the damage and loss that the Party Committee, government, especially the people in the localities of Cao Bang province are experiencing after storm No. 10 and storm No. 11. He pledged that the working delegation of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health will make every effort, join hands and unite with the Cao Bang Provincial Department of Health to overcome difficulties, urgently provide medical support (implement environmental sanitation activities, disinfect water sources, prevent epidemics, dispense medicine, communicate and educate health...) in Cao Bang province.

Previously, In the afternoon of the same day, Mr. Nong Tuan Phong - Director of the Department of Health had a working session with representatives of the leaders of 3 wards: Thuc Phan, Nung Tri Cao, Tan Giang about the difficulties that need support in implementing medical measures, disease prevention, environmental disinfection at flooded and inundated locations in Cao Bang province and the plan to distribute rice to affected households in the coming time.
Attending the meeting were representatives of relevant leaders and civil servants; Representatives of leaders and officials of the Center for Disease Control; Cao Bang Medical Center; Representatives of the Medical Stations of 03 wards: Thuc Phan, Nung Tri Cao, Tan Giang.
Accordingly, representatives of ward leaders pointed out the difficulties: Currently, the streets have not been cleaned, the amount of waste, mud, and soil is large, disinfection and environmental sanitation work is facing many difficulties. Representatives of ward leaders hope that the Department of Health will make a specific plan, establish small medical teams, coordinate with the authorities to carry out disinfection spraying to treat the environment at affected locations, prioritizing spraying on main streets with high population density, locations of many shops and passersby.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nong Tuan Phong - Director of the Department of Health suggested: The wards should proactively make a list, schedule, specific plan and assign a focal point officer in charge of synthesizing the locations that need to be disinfected in the ward and send it to the Department of Health on October 10 so that on October 11, both sides can immediately start implementation. The focal point officer in charge at the wards is responsible for guiding and coordinating with the medical teams according to the plan that the Department of Health has developed to deploy disinfection spraying and environmental sanitation activities according to the roadmap, ensuring that the activities are carried out scientifically, conveniently, effectively, and closely approaching the affected residential areas.
At the same time, the Center for Disease Control is requested to review the quantity of chemicals, machinery, and equipment, especially masks, to continue to distribute to the grassroots medical force directly performing environmental sanitation work. Determine the plan to use disinfectants at water sources appropriately, properly, and ensure hygiene. Strengthen communication so that people understand how to use them.
Regarding rice distribution, he requested ward leaders to review the rice and necessities that communes and wards need. Make a list and send specific quantities to the Department of Health so that the Department of Health can distribute according to the correct procedures and regulations of the law. First, prioritize distribution to households in need, then continue to distribute to households affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.
