Exciting season 19 of Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament 2025

On the morning of September 23, in Hanoi, the Launching Ceremony and Professional Training of the 19th Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament - Nestlé MILO Cup 2025 officially took place, kicking off a new exciting and promising season for primary school students in the capital.

Ms. Do Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper spoke at the launching ceremony.

After 18 years of organization, from a small-scale tournament with 16 male and female teams from 8 schools, the Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament has now grown into a large-scale playground with the participation of nearly 150 teams from about 100 primary schools across the city.

The 2025 season continues to promise to bring a bustling competition atmosphere, contributing to spreading the sports spirit in schools.

At the launching ceremony and professional training, the Organizing Committee announced the plan for organizing this year's tournament, and provided detailed information on professional adjustments to help teams prepare best before entering the competition.

According to the plan, the press conference and draw for the competition schedule will take place on October 23, 2025. The qualifying round will be held on November 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2025 at 4 schools: Ngo Quyen Primary School, Newton Goldmark Primary School, Dich Vong B Primary School and Archimedes Academy Primary School.

At the end of the qualifying round, the Organizing Committee will select 16 male teams (including 15 excellent teams and 1 special team) and 16 female teams (including 15 excellent teams and 1 special team) to enter the Final Round taking place on November 22 and 23, 2025 at I-Sac Newton Primary School.

The prize structure includes:

First Prize: Cup, Flag, Gold Medal and prize money (1 male team, 1 female team);

Second Prize: Flag, Silver Medal and prize money (1 male team, 1 female team);

Third Prize: Flag, Bronze Medal and cash prize (2 male teams, 2 female teams);

Style Award: Cup, Flag and prize money (1 male team, 1 female team);

Positive competitive spirit award: Flag and prize money;

Best athlete: Flag and prize money (1 male, 1 female).

The tournament is organized annually by the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper with the support of Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Nestlé MILO Brand. During the 18-year journey, the tournament has always received attention and support from educational management levels, school principals, teachers, parents and a large number of students who love basketball.

In addition to sponsoring the awards, Nestlé MILO also actively supports the organization, providing competition uniforms, equipment and nutritional drinks from barley sprouts for athletes, adding energy and competitive spirit to students throughout the season.
