HORUS P02 is a "make in Vietnam" UAV model developed by a Vietnamese enterprise, equipped with many modern technologies, capable of competing with international products in the same segment.

The product was displayed at the National Innovation Day 2025, taking place at the National Innovation Center (Hoa Lac, Hanoi ).

The special feature of this product lies in its multi-tasking ability: it serves both precise mapping and forest and environmental monitoring, and meets rescue requirements in natural disaster situations.

Parameters such as speed, altitude, wind speed... will be transmitted and displayed on a touch screen at the Ground Control Station, images are recorded with almost zero delay (Photo: Thanh Binh).

The optimized aerodynamic structure also helps Vietnamese intellectual products achieve a balance between speed, durability and maneuverability.

The ability to process Big Data, turning images collected from the field into detailed digital maps, is a useful tool for many fields: from natural resource management, urban planning, to security and defense.

Currently, this UAV is developed on the basis of 80% domestic technology, aiming for 100% in the near future.

Instead of depending on expensive imported UAVs, Vietnam can now design and manufacture its own branded aircraft.

This not only reduces costs, but also opens up a proactive direction in upgrading, improving and applying UAVs for many specific needs.

"The greatest strength of the HORUS P02 lies in its 'extensibility', which can be customized for each mission, from mounting meteorological sensors for research, to equipping optical-infrared cameras for nighttime security surveillance.

This is not only a product, but also a foundation for Vietnam to build a smart UAV ecosystem, serving both civilian and national defense purposes," said Engineer Do Quang Quan, HORUS P02 UAV manufacturing engineer.
