According to the calculation of Football Ranking (based on FIFA's scoring method), the Vietnam team has increased 1 place to 110th in the world. The reason is because Tanzania (dropped 5 places) and Kenya (dropped 4 places) played poorly in the recent international matches.
While Tanzania lost 3-4 in a friendly match against Kuwait and was deducted 5.86 points, Kenya also lost 0-1 to Equatorial Guinea and was deducted 4.58 points. On the other hand, Comoros moved up 5 places with 4.83 points added after a 1-0 victory over Namibia to surpass the Vietnamese team.
Malaysia also benefited by moving up one place to 117th in the world after Namibia dropped two places to 118th due to their loss to Comoros.
Notably, Thailand continued to climb the FIFA rankings and firmly consolidated its No. 1 position in Southeast Asia. The Golden Temple team was awarded 3.13 points after winning 3-2 in a friendly match against Singapore. Thanks to that, coach Anthony Hudson's team moved up 2 places to 94th in the world.
This position is close to the best ranking of the Vietnamese team under coach Park Hang Seo (92nd, from May to August 2021). In addition, the "War Elephants" are ranked right below the Chinese team (ranked 93rd in the world).

Meanwhile, Indonesia did not play this month but still dropped one place to 123rd in the world. The reason is that Suriname jumped up 5 places with 15.14 points thanks to a 4-0 win over El Salvador in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Vietnamese team had their first training session in Vientiane on November 16. The whole team is determined to win 3 points against Laos, to compete with Malaysia in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
