Son Heung-min receives offer from MLS

Los Angeles FC (LAFC), a team playing in the US Major League Soccer (MLS), is stepping up efforts to sign Son Heung-min.

LAFC have identified Son as a target since June 2024.

According to The Athletic , LAFC's board of directors considers the Korean striker their number one target in the transfer market. They believe that Son Heung-min can make a breakthrough both professionally and commercially, especially thanks to his influence in the Korean community in Los Angeles.

However, LAFC will face many obstacles in this deal, as "Sonny" is not ready to leave top European football. At the same time, Tottenham still wants to keep Son Heung-min until the club finishes its tour in Asia this summer.

According to the Telegraph , in the contract signed between Tottenham and the organizers of the friendly matches in Asia this summer, Son Heung-min is required to participate. If this striker is not on the list, Spurs will lose up to 75% of the fee they receive when playing in Korea. This number will be halved if Sonny is on the list but does not play in the match.

Son Heung-min has just one year left on his contract with Tottenham, and the London club are ready to part ways with their captain if they receive a suitable offer. However, any negotiations over Son Heung-min's future are likely to take place only at the end of the transfer window, when the "Roosters" have completed their tour of Asia this summer.
