Son La resolutely implements solutions to achieve the GRDP growth target of 8% in 2025

(sonla.gov.vn) Right from the beginning of the year, with the proactive, flexible and drastic management of the province, the companionship of enterprises and the effective promotion of local economic strength, overcoming difficulties, Son La province achieved an impressive growth rate of 8.76% in the first 6 months of the year. Implementing Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP dated August 5, 2025 of the Government on growth targets for sectors, fields, localities and key tasks and solutions to ensure the national growth in 2025 reaches 8.3 - 8.5%, the People's Committee of Son La province issued an Official Dispatch to specify tasks and solutions suitable to the local situation, determined to strive for a GRDP growth rate of 8% for the whole year.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes and wards to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, unity, and consensus, focus on thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing the conclusions and resolutions of the Central Government, the Government , the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee. In particular, it is necessary to make the most of opportunities, exploit new development spaces, promote the effectiveness of newly issued policies and solutions to promote higher growth in the third and fourth quarters and the whole year of 2025. The province sets a target of GRDP growth rate of 8% in 2025; total social investment capital increases by 11 - 12%; continue to improve and enhance the material and spiritual life of the people. With the motto of comprehensive, drastic and effective direction and management, with the spirit of "6 clear": clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear products, clear authority.

To achieve the set goals, departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes and wards focus on disbursing 100% of the public investment capital plan in 2025; proactively remove difficulties in construction materials, compensation, and site clearance for projects. The State Bank of Vietnam, Region 3, directs credit institutions to reduce lending interest rates, improve credit quality, and direct capital to production and business, innovation, digital economy , green economy, and social housing. The Department of Industry and Trade strongly promotes trade, boosts e-commerce, and strives for growth of over 25%. At the same time, launches programs such as "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and "Quintessence of Vietnamese goods". At the same time, localities strengthen market control, handle smuggling, counterfeit goods, and trade fraud. Take advantage of free trade agreements (FTAs), support businesses exporting key products, and expand niche markets. Disease prevention in agriculture, especially African swine fever, is also required to be strictly implemented to ensure supply.

Promote the application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and the development of high-quality human resources. At the same time, exploit emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, cultural industry, circular economy, and green economy. Continue to arrange and improve the organizational apparatus, build a team of grassroots cadres with qualities, capacities, and closeness to the people. Regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, and workers during the arrangement process are fully and promptly ensured.

Departments, branches and localities must closely follow the situation and coordinate with statistical agencies to develop growth scenarios for each month and each quarter. Periodically report and propose timely solutions to remove difficulties, ensuring the achievement and surpassing of socio-economic development targets in 2025. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with press and media agencies to promote propaganda and widely disseminate Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP of the Government and the Directive Document of the Provincial People's Committee to create consensus and determination in the whole society.

With a determined, synchronous and effective spirit, Son La province aims to make a breakthrough, contributing significantly to the overall economic growth of the whole country in 2025.
