Along with the two industrial parks Song Cong I and Song Cong II, in recent times, Song Cong City has devoted many resources to promoting the development of technical infrastructure of industrial clusters (ICs) in the area. Thereby attracting businesses to invest in developing industry and handicrafts, contributing to the shift in economic structure, labor and job creation.

Nguyen Gon Industrial Park, in Cai Dan Ward (Song Cong City), has a scale of 14.85 hectares and has attracted 11 investment projects. |
According to the industrial park development plan for the 2021-2030 period, Song Cong City is planning to have 5 industrial parks in the area, with a total area of 232.65 hectares. Up to now, the city has 4 industrial parks that have attracted infrastructure investors, with a total area of 117.18 hectares.
Of which, 3 industrial parks (Nguyen Gon, Ba Xuyen, Khuynh Thach) have been established by the Provincial People's Committee and assigned to investors to build infrastructure; and Luong Son industrial park has been assigned to investors to build infrastructure by the Provincial People's Committee according to the investment policy decision. The investors have currently implemented the approved plan, reaching 229.5 billion VND/928.68 billion VND.
In 2023 alone, the total revenue of investment projects in industrial parks will reach nearly 1,000 billion VND; create jobs for nearly 1,400 workers; and contribute over 40 billion VND to the state budget. Regarding occupancy rates, Nguyen Gon Industrial Park reaches 83.8%; Khuynh Thach Industrial Park 40.3%; Ba Xuyen Industrial Park and Luong Son Industrial Park are in the process of site clearance.
Despite achieving important results, the progress of infrastructure projects in industrial parks in the city is basically behind schedule. The main reason is that compensation and site clearance have encountered many difficulties. For example, at the Ba Xuyen Industrial Park Project with a scale of 48.53 hectares, the total investment of nearly 432 billion VND, Minh Tuan Construction and Trading Investment Joint Stock Company was assigned by the Provincial People's Committee as the investor for infrastructure construction. After 5 years of implementation (from November 2018), the project has only cleared 30.96 hectares of site.
Sharing about the difficulties and obstacles, Mr. Nguyen Dang Tuan, Deputy Director of Minh Tuan Investment, Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company, shared: The project still has more than 8 hectares of rice land without a land recovery decision because it has been more than 3 years since the date the Prime Minister approved the change of land use purpose to implement the project. Similarly, the Luong Son Industrial Park was licensed by the Provincial People's Committee to Saigon Technology - Telecommunications Joint Stock Company as the infrastructure investor. The biggest difficulty of the project at present is the resettlement arrangement for households subject to land recovery and site clearance...
Talking to us, Mr. Vu Duy Nghia, Chairman of Song Cong City People's Committee, said: The city is simultaneously implementing many CNN projects with a large amount of work, requiring a high spirit of solidarity, focusing on collective intelligence, promoting the role of the leader and each individual, especially needing high consensus from the people. In particular, compensation and site clearance work is given top priority by the local government, with a view of publicity, transparency, and ensuring the maximum legitimate rights of the people.
Along with that, the city strengthens the inspection and supervision of the implementation of infrastructure construction investment projects in accordance with detailed planning and progress; proactively grasps the situation, resolves difficulties and problems for enterprises on a weekly and monthly basis; urges and guides investors to properly follow the order and procedures for construction investment; attracts organizations and individuals to invest in production and business development in accordance with regulations...
