Rodrygo's future is once again in the spotlight. |
The Times revealed that Real Madrid's €100m asking price for Rodrygo has caused many top Premier League clubs to give up. Although Real Madrid's board had informed Rodrygo that they wanted him to leave the club in the summer transfer window of 2025, "Los Blancos" would only sell the striker for €100m or more.
Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool have all deemed the fee unreasonable and have decided to look elsewhere. Arsenal have completed the signing of Viktor Gyokeres and are now focusing on Eberechi Eze. According to AS , this marks the end of their interest in Rodrygo.
Liverpool have signed Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, and are weighing up another record bid for Alexander Isak. Chelsea are closing in on Xavi Simons, while Man City insist they will not pay more than €75m for Rodrygo.
As for Real Madrid, the club is planning to continue to stick with Rodrygo if they do not receive any attractive offers from other teams. Staying in Madrid is not a big problem for Rodrygo, as he still wants to assert his ability in the squad.
Rodrygo has only played one match at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup™. His last start for his club was in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona (April 26), but he was substituted at half-time.
