On July 27, head coach Mai Duc Chung and captain Huynh Nhu arrived in Sydney (Australia) to attend the draw ceremony for the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Finals. The main event will take place on the evening of July 29 at Sydney Town Hall, New South Wales (Australia).
The Vietnamese women's team is actively training in Cam Pha to prepare for the Southeast Asian championship.
Before the draw, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) arranged many sideline activities. Specifically, on the morning of July 28, Coach Mai Duc Chung and Huynh Nhu attended the Welcome Teams event and took souvenir photos at Hickson Road Reserve outdoor park with the presence of NSW state leaders and the Local Organizing Committee, while in the afternoon of the same day, there will be a Photo & Video shooting activity at the Australian Stadium, serving the promotion of the tournament.
After the draw ceremony, which took place on the evening of July 29, representatives of the Vietnamese women's team and other teams will continue to participate in media activities, take group photos and answer quick interviews.
The 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship is scheduled to take place in early March 2026 with the participation of 12 teams including host Australia, Bangladesh, China, Chinese Taipei, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Uzbekistan and Vietnam, promising to be a top-notch playground, where the Vietnamese women's team is determined to affirm its position in the continental arena.
