Sony states that, through the included PS5 software, gamers can create up to 30 custom control profiles for the PS5 Access Controller. Gamers can also store three profiles on the Access Controller and quickly switch between them using a dedicated button, allowing them to use the appropriate control layout and function buttons for what's happening in the game.
The PS5 Access Controller's carrying case is also specially designed for customers with disabilities. According to the company, convenient loops can be pulled from the left or right side, opening the case to reveal inner loops positioned so the controller slides out easily. It has various compartments for organizing buttons and interchangeable covers.
Sony has also equipped the PS5 Access Controller with four 3.5mm ports to allow gamers to connect other accessories and peripherals. This includes a dedicated PS5 Access Controller adaptive gaming kit recently announced by Logitech, which allows gamers to connect four additional buttons and triggers. This kit will be available in late 2024 for $80.
