The boys and girls of the Mining land not only demonstrate their role in economic and social development but are also the core in the task of "Developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity" set forth by the Provincial Party Committee.

From the ideas of young people, Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union has launched and implemented many effective creative startup models, helping young people in the mining land to tap resources, build positions, become bosses at a very young age, thereby contributing to building a civilized and prosperous homeland of Quang Ninh.

According to Mr. Nguyen The Minh, Deputy Secretary in charge of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union, supporting and accompanying young people in starting a business, establishing a career and getting rich legitimately is one of the important tasks of the Youth Union. In recent years, the Provincial Youth Union has always tried to research and propose solutions to support and accompany young people in starting a career and developing the economy.

The Provincial Youth Union has issued a plan to support Quang Ninh youth in starting a business in the period of 2024-2030. In which, many new economic models have been developed. Support seedlings and livestock for youth to develop the economy. Continue to exploit loan sources for youth, create jobs, reduce poverty, ensure the quality of loans. Do not let the situation of lending to the wrong subjects happen.

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union organizes training courses to improve knowledge of youth about entrepreneurial skills. Over the years, the quality of the Quang Ninh province's creative startup idea competition has been improved. In the last two years, nearly 90 projects have participated in the competition, of which 20 excellent projects have been awarded prizes. There are 5 youth startup projects supported by the Provincial Youth Union to participate in the semi-finals and finals of youth startup competitions organized by the Central Youth Union and the Central Vietnam Youth Union.

In particular, the provincial youth union focuses on implementing models, youth economic clubs, cooperative models among youth, especially in areas with potential for agriculture, forestry and fishery. At the same time, it promotes the role of the young entrepreneurs association and the startup investment club in supporting young people in economic activities, gathering the team of entrepreneurs association and young entrepreneurs to exchange and support each other in development. A typical example is the Cam Pha City Startup Orientation and Development Club, which has just been launched with members being high school students in the area.

Secretary of Ha Long City Youth Union Nguyen Tuan Thang said that Ha Long is always a land rich in potential and opportunities, where everyone can establish a career and get rich legitimately.

“The Ha Long City Youth Union always identifies its role as a ‘bridge’ and ‘support’ to inspire, orient and support young people. We have implemented many practical activities to inspire the team of union officials and youth union members such as organizing thematic activities, youth forums, etc., to arouse patriotism, self-reliance and aspirations in the young generation,” said Mr. Thang.

The City Youth Union has organized many movements, such as "good economic youth" and "creative youth", to encourage union members to promote initiatives and apply science and technology in work.

Ms. Dao Thi Mai Thinh, Secretary of Tien Yen District Youth Union, said that as a mountainous district with 52% of the population being ethnic minorities, one of the current issues that Tien Yen District Youth Union is always concerned about is accompanying young people in solving employment problems. Therefore, the district Youth Union always identifies, accompanying and supporting young people in starting a business as one of the important contents and aims at start-up and career models on their own homeland so that no one is left behind.

Tien Yen District Youth Union has implemented many solutions to support youth union members such as consulting on start-up capital through the social policy bank, calling for investment and using the district's science and technology capital sources, bringing about efficiency... From there, sharing and spreading good practices of union members to learn from each other's experiences and implement models at home as well as creating a chain of links to promote production and consumption of products.

In addition, we also support models in upgrading and registering OCOP stars, especially for local products, and at the same time support union members to improve star rankings, creating a brand for Tien Yen, typically clean chicken products, Tien Yen golden flower tea...

“Through these activities, the youth union members of Tien Yen district have more ideals in life, have faith in starting a business, and are determined to dare to think and dare to do, apply technical knowledge in production and start a successful business,” said Ms. Thinh.

It is difficult to say all the results that the youth union members of Quang Ninh have achieved in the past time.

We only know that when talking with the cadres, union members and people of the Mining Land, we were very impressed with the young generation here, the Mining Land youth who "talk less, do more".

In the chicken farm, Mr. Tran Dang Hanh (born in 1993, Tinh Po village, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district - Tay ethnic group) holds a bag of bran in his hand, quickly taking care of food and water for thousands of chickens on his family farm.

Hanh said that his hill is more than 2 hectares wide, located near his house. In previous years, this vast hill garden only grew a few types of timber trees with low economic value. Realizing the advantage of his hometown, with the famous Tien Yen chicken breed throughout the country, in 2015 he pondered and started building a poultry farm model, then established the Tien Yen Chicken Cooperative.

“At first, the implementation encountered many difficulties because I was young, had little capital, and had never invested in large-scale livestock farming, so I was discouraged many times. However, with the support of authorities at all levels, especially the youth union at all levels, I was determined and successfully built a clean chicken farming model,” said Mr. Hanh.

Then the poultry farm combined with growing cinnamon and growing Doi trees was born. The entire area of ​​more than 2 hectares of the family's garden is an ideal place for Tien Yen chickens to breed, develop and produce sweet fruits. Every year, the cooperative brings to the market nearly 80,000 commercial Tien Yen chickens, bringing a stable income to the cooperative members with an amount of over 200 million VND/family.

In particular, in 2023, the Cooperative's clean chicken products achieved a revenue of over 20 billion VND, after deducting expenses, the profit was over 2 billion VND. The Cooperative also created jobs for dozens of local workers, mainly young people, with an income of nearly ten million VND/month. This is the initial success of the Cooperative when applying the Tien Yen clean chicken farming model, which has been welcomed by locals and tourists.

Talking about this model, Mr. Tran Minh Hoang (born in 1998, in Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district) said that this is a pretty good model, suitable for the development advantages of Tien Yen people because they have delicious chicken breeds and have spacious hilly and forest land. The model is carried out completely naturally on the hillside, during the day the chickens go out to forage and only return to the coop at the end of the day. In addition, ensuring hygiene, veterinary care in animal husbandry, and disease prevention are also taken into account, so the chickens grow healthily, giving high productivity and quality.

“We ourselves are also gradually learning from experience to raise chickens according to this model, improving family economy, developing rural areas, and improving people's lives - Mr. Hoang said.

Talking about the market of Tien Yen clean chicken products, Mr. Hanh said that the output of clean chicken products is in two directions, the first is selling feathered chickens, the second is pre-processed chickens that only need to be processed. In addition, the cooperative is also deploying some more clean chicken products such as salt-cured chicken to launch on the market.

Tien Yen chicken of the cooperative, in addition to being sold in Quang Ninh province and neighboring provinces, has been known and used by many consumers in the southern provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Dong Nai, etc. Many customers through social networks know that the cooperative has clean Tien Yen chicken products, so they have contacted to order.

After seeing the delicious product and the typical flavor of Tien Yen chicken, customers have proactively built a brand and distributed clean Tien Yen chicken in the Southern region. The cooperative has sent goods to these distribution channels via airline flights so that Tien Yen chicken reaches customers as soon as possible, with the best quality, meeting consumer expectations.

Talking about the process of investing, building and developing the Tien Yen chicken brand of Mr. Tran Dang Hanh, Ms. Dao Thi Mai Thinh, Secretary of Tien Yen District Youth Union (Quang Ninh) said that this is a model originating from the strength of the locality, which is the Tien Yen chicken breed. From that advantage, Mr. Hanh boldly started a business at home, building a close, natural but very effective livestock farm model.

In particular, realizing the needs of customers to upgrade clean chicken products, Mr. Hanh boldly proposed and built scientific topics on the application of clean chicken processing mechanisms to create the OCOP clean chicken brand of Tien Yen. At the same time, he supported and guided many youth union members to participate and advise and support each other in breeding techniques, creating supply chains for chicken products for large orders. From there, a brand was created, helping Tien Yen chicken products become familiar to consumers, bearing the unique identity of Tien Yen land and people.

With the mindset of "Giving is forever" and a positive way of life, when facing the situation of being missing a part of her body, Ms. Pham Thien Trang has been living a life full of enthusiasm, beautifying life with charitable deeds.

Meeting us, the young girl with a pretty face could not help but be moved. Trang had tears in her eyes as she told us about her life.

Ms. Pham Thien Trang (born in 1992, employee of TKV Environment One Member Co., Ltd.) said that in 2015, she was recruited as a technician of TKV Environment One Member Co., Ltd. The joy was short-lived when, after a traffic collision with a truck in 2017, Trang permanently lost her right leg. Since then, all the pressures of life have been piling up on the young girl.

“At that time, my spirit was clearly down, I was shocked, shocked because my body was not intact, I was self-conscious about my health. I was also shocked because so many of my unfulfilled plans and ambitions were extinguished. Meanwhile, my husband and I were divorced, I was raising my little daughter. So I had to stop dreaming. At that time, I was depressed” – Trang shared.

After half a year of rehabilitation, Trang began to get used to crutches, then learned about and learned about prosthetic legs, but the installation and training to walk was a difficult and arduous process. Difficulties piled on difficulties. But with her determination, the 9x girl made an effort to overcome, train and walk with a prosthetic leg.

Also during this time, thanks to the company's support and facilitation, Thien Trang was arranged to work at the office, thereby reducing part of the financial and mental burden for Thien Trang, and at the same time fostering a positive lifestyle for the girl from the Mining land.

From her own circumstances, Thien Trang learned and knew that there are many people in this life who are more unfortunate than hers. Therefore, Trang participated in charity work and became one of the positive factors in the area.

“Before the accident, I already knew about volunteering and tried to do it. But after the accident, my fate urged me to do volunteering by all means, do it with all my heart, do it as much as I can, as long as it brings joy and happiness to those who are less fortunate than me. Therefore, at first, I only did small things like collecting old clothes and sending them to the highlands. Then, I learned about the volunteer programs that my seniors were doing, so I actively implemented them with them and received support from everyone,” said Thien Trang.

Heaven does not disappoint those who work hard, the Quang Ninh volunteer group and the young volunteer group that Thien Trang participated in have both been effective, actively supporting people in remote areas, not only in Quang Ninh but also in many other provinces. Especially in her personal role, Trang has also actively mobilized everyone to participate in supporting and contributing to support people in difficult circumstances, coordinating with other volunteer groups to organize many meaningful volunteer projects.

In 2023 alone, Trang organized 25 volunteer activities such as providing hospital fees support for patients with serious illnesses and difficult circumstances; supporting the construction of charity houses for children; collaborating with the Red Blood Drops Club of the Mining Land and the Youth Union of Dam Ha district to organize the program "Full Moon Festival Night" for children in Dam Ha; calling for support of over 700 million VND to support the project "Building a school - Building a dream No. 2" in Phu Yen district (Son La province) and mobilizing more than 200 people to donate blood voluntarily...

Most recently, after experiencing Typhoon Yagi, Trang and the Red Blood Drop Club of Mining Land actively called for and supported people in difficult circumstances to repair their houses, stabilize their lives, organize visits and give gifts to children in difficult circumstances in Quang Phong commune (Hai Ha district); Cam La pagoda (Quang Yen town) and participate in environmental sanitation, rebuilding the landscape after the storm on Thang Loi island (Van Don)...

Joining hands to overcome the consequences of storm Yagi, youth unions at all levels in Quang Ninh have taken the lead, carrying out many practical and specific tasks to help people overcome their circumstances.

Storm No. 3 (Yagi) is a strong storm, causing great damage to people and property in the northern provinces. Quang Ninh is one of the localities at the forefront of the storm, suffering heavy damage.

Tien Yen is one of the units that suffered heavy damage from storm No. 3. Ms. Dao Thi Mai Thinh, Secretary of Tien Yen District Youth Union, said that storm Yagi passed through the area and left many serious consequences. Following the direction of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union and Tien Yen District Party Committee, before the storm made landfall, the District Youth Union established a volunteer shock force to respond quickly, promptly coordinate with functional units to handle situations arising during the storm, as well as overcome the consequences after the storm.

After storm No. 3 made landfall in Tien Yen district, the volunteer shock force was present in Dong Hai commune, assisting 50 households in moving their belongings that were flooded by the storm. Afterwards, the District Youth Union mobilized over 600 youth union members to help people clear trees and overcome power, water, and internet outages.

In addition, the District Youth Union checked poor and near-poor households affected by the storm. Mobilized social resources to receive over 350 million VND and many other necessities such as clothes, blankets, books to ensure 100% of students can go to school.

In addition, the District Youth Union also directed union members in communes and towns to coordinate with other forces to re-roof damaged houses so that people can stabilize their lives. At the same time, they will work with functional units to inventory and complete documents, and propose support for households damaged and affected by the storm, Ms. Thinh said.

Mr. Nguyen The Minh, Deputy Secretary in charge of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union, said that the storm left behind serious consequences. The provincial youth union directed units to mobilize maximum forces and coordinate with functional units to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 with the spirit of "wherever needed, there are youth, wherever there is difficulty, there are youth".

Visiting some areas that were severely damaged after Typhoon Yagi swept through, Secretary of the Ha Long City Youth Union Nguyen Tuan Thang said that Typhoon Yagi was the strongest storm to hit Ha Long City (Quang Ninh) in the past 30 years. Although proactive measures were taken to respond, Ha Long was one of the localities that suffered the most damage after the storm.

To overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3, Ha Long city launched a "7-day and night peak campaign", mobilizing all machinery, equipment, and people to join hands to clear up fallen trees, repair damaged structures, clean up the environment, ensure smooth traffic, stabilize people's lives, restore production, business, and tourism and service activities.

More than 10,000 union members and youth of Ha Long City simultaneously launched a 7-day and night campaign to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

“This is the largest-ever marine environmental cleanup campaign in Ha Long, demonstrating the pioneering spirit of young people in overcoming the consequences of the storm, contributing to the early stabilization of people's lives and the restoration of the natural landscapes of Ha Long Bay, building a green, clean and beautiful city,” Mr. Thang assessed.

Following the campaign, Ha Long youth continued to carry out many activities to clean up the marine environment at Hon Gai, Bai Chay and Tuan Chau beaches. The city's youth have deployed to collect foam, buoys, and bamboo rafts floating near the shore, clean up plastic waste, fishing lines, and fallen tree branches on the beach and clean the sand so that people can swim again.

In addition, the City Youth Union also mobilized all youth forces to support people in overcoming the consequences of the storm. They joined hands to clean up, demolish, and re-roof houses affected by the storm.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, a tourist from Hanoi, said she was one of the tourists in Ha Long when Typhoon Yagi made landfall. “I was very scared at that time, trees on the street were broken, many corrugated iron sheets and signs were damaged, the road and the sea were full of garbage. Immediately after the storm, Quang Ninh mobilized a large force to participate in cleaning up and overcoming the consequences. Among them were members of the Youth Union,” Ms. Lan Anh said.
