MAIN DEVELOPMENTS OF THE FIRST ROUND:
After the opening whistle, the Vietnam U17 team entered the match against South Korea U17 with great confidence.
The South Korean U17 team tried to push forward in attack, but thanks to the discipline and focus of coach Cristiano Roland's players, their opponents were unable to execute their plan throughout the first 45 minutes of the match.
Despite controlling possession for 71.8%, the South Korean U17 team failed to create any notable attacking moves, apart from a free-kick shot that went over the crossbar.
And while the South Korean U17 attack was relentlessly searching for the first goal of the match, the Vietnamese U17 team unexpectedly scored to break the deadlock.
From a pass by Quy Vuong, Sy Bach intelligently positioned himself to break down the right flank. After receiving the pass, the player wearing number 20 unleashed a diagonal shot, beating goalkeeper Jang Jun-Yeong and opening the scoring in the 32nd minute.
The first half ended with Vietnam U17 leading South Korea U17 by one goal.
