The Suzuki e Vitara is an electric SUV that was officially launched in November 2024. This model marks the first time Suzuki has launched a fully electric vehicle. According to Suzuki's plan, the e Vitara will be distributed first in the European, Japanese and Indian markets.

Not stopping there, Suzuki also confirmed plans to bring this electric SUV to Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand, later this year. As reported, the e Vitara was developed by Suzuki with its "close" partner Toyota.

The car is equipped with a completely new chassis specifically for electric cars called Heartect-e developed by Suzuki, Toyota and Daihatsu. Suzuki's electric SUV has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,275 x 1,800 x 1,635 mm, a wheelbase of 2,700 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm.

Therefore, the car is positioned in the B-segment SUV segment. On the outside, the Suzuki e Vitara adopts a design style quite similar to the small SUV Vitara. In addition, the car also retains many design features of the concept version called Suzuki eVX that was launched in India in early 2023.

This can be clearly seen through the cuts and "muscular" embossing on the body of the car. Inside this electric SUV is a 2-row interior space with 5 seats. Here, the car is applied a modern design style with 2 large screens connected, placed on the dashboard.

In addition, there is a 2-spoke steering wheel with a beveled bottom, integrated function keys and square air-conditioning vents with silver borders. In addition, the car is also equipped with a unique glossy black center console, with cup holders, gearshift knob, electronic handbrake and automatic temporary brake hold.

Below the center console is a storage compartment and a USB port. Notable features of the car include LED lighting, 18-19 inch rims (depending on the version), heated rearview mirrors, leather and fabric seats, 10-way power driver's seat, front seat cooling, 10.25 inch digital dashboard

10.1-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, 1-zone automatic air conditioning, wireless phone charging, multi-color interior ambient lighting and Infinity by Harman sound system. According to Thai media, the Suzuki e Vitara for this market will be the e-AllGrip AWD 4-wheel drive version and use a 61 kWh battery.
7-9421.png
This version has a total capacity of 184 horsepower and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. The car can run more than 500 km after a full battery charge. With a 150 kW DC fast charger, the car can increase the battery capacity from 15% to 70% within 30 minutes.
8-1971.png
Finally, there are safety features such as 360-degree camera, tire pressure warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic warning, front/rear sensors and 7 airbags.

Suzuki e Vitara for Thailand will be imported completely from India. Therefore, the car will not enjoy 0% import tax like cars imported from China or ASEAN countries, so it is expected to be not cheap.

Anyway, this model was brought to Thailand for the purpose of creating an image for the brand, so the company will not focus on sales like its brother Suzuki Fronx, which will be launched in September this year.

It is not yet clear whether Suzuki e Vitara will launch in other Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam besides Thailand.
