Temporarily suspend the implementation of construction projects during the process of reforming and reorganizing the organizational structure.

On February 25th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a document requesting provincial departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns to review and temporarily suspend the implementation of projects and works during the process of reforming and reorganizing the organizational structure.

In implementation of Conclusion No. 126-KL/TW dated February 14, 2025, of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee on some contents and tasks to continue arranging and streamlining the organizational structure of the political system in 2025, on February 25, 2025, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Bui Thanh An, directed agencies, organizations, units, and localities to review and temporarily suspend the implementation of new investment projects, repairs, renovations, and upgrades of working offices of agencies, organizations, and units under the management of district-level administrative units, ensuring the practice of saving and preventing waste.

The People's Committee of Nghe An province also requested the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to take the lead and coordinate with the Department of Construction, the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial State Treasury, and other relevant units to monitor, inspect, and supervise the implementation by agencies, units, and localities, and to promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee during the implementation process to ensure effectiveness.

Regarding this matter, the Do Luong District Party Committee recently suspended a project worth over 70 billion VND, including renovation and upgrading of the office building and related items. Following this, the project for the new administrative center of the Con Cuong District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and mass organizations, with a total investment of 110 billion VND, was also officially suspended.

This is one of the first steps taken to implement the policy of saving budget and streamlining the administrative apparatus in the province.
