MR. CAO TRI DUNG, CHAIRMAN OF THE DA NANG TOURISM ASSOCIATION:
An opportunity to establish a new development vision.
Following the merger, Da Nang city has the opportunity to establish a "new development vision," becoming a national tourism center, a gateway to tourism in Central Vietnam, aiming for the goal of becoming a "super city of heritage - events - innovation" by 2050.
To make this vision a reality, Da Nang needs to focus on several synchronized solutions. First and foremost is expanding and upgrading tourism infrastructure, with particular emphasis on hotels, resorts, MICE convention centers, and inter-regional transportation networks.
Maintaining and improving service quality, especially in 4-5 star hotels, will create a competitive advantage and drive the development of supporting services in free trade zones and international financial centers.
Based on the five core product groups, the city needs to develop more unique products associated with cuisine , culture, and healthcare, while also organizing more major international events to enhance its brand.
A diverse range of products, synchronized infrastructure, and a safe and secure tourism environment will help Da Nang retain tourists and create opportunities for them to return multiple times.
Furthermore, innovation and digital transformation are considered inevitable directions. The application of VR360 technology, QR codes, cashless payments, combined with promotion through Google, TikTok, etc., will provide a seamless and modern experience for tourists.
Da Nang also needs to continue improving its institutional framework and flexible incentive policies to attract strategic investors into high-end tourism and international services.
DIRECTOR TRAN DINH HIEN:
Enhancing emotional elements and cultural identity more strongly.
For me, Da Nang is not just a tourist city, but also a giant film set with a rich variety of backdrops, from beaches and mountains to modern cities and nostalgic fishing villages. Every street corner, every beach holds its own story. When filming "Let's Go Home!", the scenes in Da Nang helped us fully portray the bond and emotions of a family on an exciting and unexpected journey.
Da Nang possesses ideal conditions for hosting large-scale events, cultural festivals, or serving as a backdrop for films. However, to create its own unique identity, the city needs to more strongly evoke emotional connection and cultural identity. Instead of focusing solely on major events, Da Nang should aim for more in-depth experiences where tourists and locals can truly feel the local culture and people.
Along with that, we need open mechanisms and policies, and a strong communication strategy to attract more opportunities and invite talented individuals to join hands in spreading the city's image. I believe that, by knowing how to tell its own story through the language of culture and people, Da Nang will not only be a "city of events" but also a "city of emotions," a vibrant and promising film set on the world film map."
DESIGN DUO VU NGOC TU AND DINH TRUONG TUNG (VUNGOC&SON BRAND):
Deserves to be called the "city of events".
In our eyes, Da Nang is a city with all the potential to position itself as the "event city" of Vietnam and the region. Not only does it possess a favorable geographical location and modern infrastructure, but Da Nang also boasts stunning natural beauty, from its blue sea and majestic mountains to its unique architectural structures. This provides an ideal foundation for organizing large-scale cultural, artistic, and fashion events, creating a special attraction for the public and international tourists.
What makes Da Nang unique, in our opinion, is the openness and pioneering spirit of its people and government in supporting and collaborating with creative arts. In Da Nang, the human element is the key to the success of events. The people of Da Nang are known for their friendliness, hospitality, and pride in their city, always ready to participate in and support events.
Da Nang not only hosts events but also transforms each program into an experience intertwined with the local landscape and identity. We once had the opportunity to showcase VUNGOC&SON fashion amidst the natural beauty and atmosphere of Da Nang in the Cruise 25 show – a place where dazzling fireworks truly captured the youthful, vibrant energy, yet also the unique character that few cities in the region possess.
The interplay between modernity and nature, between creativity and local identity, is what sets Da Nang apart. Da Nang is a "livable city" and fully deserves to be a "city of events," a grand stage for art and creativity, becoming a proud international meeting point for Vietnam.
