Que Vo New Port cargo throughput increased by 35%

(BTV) Officially operating in Bac Ninh since 2021, up to now, Tan Cang Que Vo ICD has nearly 40 customers using regular services and 11 cooperating shipping lines, including 4 shipping lines opening destination port routes to Tan Cang Que Vo, supporting import and export customers in the area to only need to do customs clearance procedures at Que Vo (instead of having to do procedures at Hai Phong as before).

In 2024, Tan Cang Que Vo will reach an output of about 30,000 TEUs.

In 2024, Tan Cang Que Vo will welcome nearly 600 barge trips with a throughput of about 30,000 TEUs, equivalent to 2023, with destination port cargo alone increasing by 35%. To improve the productivity of barge, yard, gate and loading and unloading equipment operations, and optimize delivery time for customers, Tan Cang Que Vo ICD continues to apply solutions such as: Strengthening inspection, review, and optimizing container loading diagrams at the yard, minimizing container transfers during delivery; Thoroughly applying information technology applications in port operations and exploitation to optimize container loading and delivery. In addition, Tan Cang Que Vo ICD synchronously deploys solutions: Golive the Eport electronic port system at Tan Cang Que Vo ICD to help customers proactively check in online before the vehicle arrives for delivery, reducing waiting time for drivers and reducing counter operations for business transactions; Invest in and transfer loading and unloading equipment in the system, especially RTG 6+1 cranes to Tan Cang Que Vo to improve loading and unloading capacity, in line with the growth rate of output. Strive for 2025, the output through the destination port to increase by 30% compared to 2024.
