Tan Hiep B commune achieved new rural standards in 2015. Up to now, the commune has built and achieved 19/19 advanced new rural criteria and is the first commune in Tan Hiep district to be recognized as meeting the national criteria for advanced new rural communes in the period 2021-2025.
Every year, Tan Hiep B commune mobilizes about 120 billion VND from the people to build advanced new rural areas such as investing in building factories, agricultural equipment, donating land for rural roads, etc.
By the end of 2023, the average income per capita of Tan Hiep B commune will reach 73.55 million VND/year; the poverty rate will decrease to 0.52%; the rate of people participating in health insurance will reach 95.02%; the results of surveying people's satisfaction with the results of new rural construction will reach 97.47%.
Tan Hiep B has a rate of communal roads that are maintained annually, ensuring brightness, greenness, cleanliness, and beauty, and the rate of hamlet roads and inter-hamlet roads that are hardened and maintained annually reaches 100%. The Zero Canal Bridge construction investment project is one of the key traffic projects of Tan Hiep district. This is a bridge connecting the economic zone from the center of Tan Hiep district with the center of Tan Thanh and Tan Hoi communes, Tan Hiep district.
The Zero Canal Bridge has a total length of 239.45m, a width of 8.3m (of which the roadway is 7.5m wide); a semi-permanent structure made of reinforced concrete and galvanized steel, with a vehicle load capacity of 30 tons. The bridge has a total investment of 76.6 billion VND, from the state budget.
Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Hiep District Le Truong Ke affirmed: "Putting the Zero Canal Bridge into operation and use is very important to meet the needs of travel, exchange, and trade of goods of the people in the region, ensuring traffic safety and gradually completing and improving the transportation capacity of Tan Thanh route, contributing significantly to creating a driving force to promote the socio-economic development of the district in particular and the province in general."
