Strengthen measures to manage bus drivers.

The Department of Construction has recently issued a document regarding strengthening measures to ensure traffic safety and strictly managing drivers of passenger transport vehicles.

Accordingly, passenger transport businesses operating by automobile are required to strictly comply with the regulations of the Road Law, the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024, and regulations on the conditions for conducting passenger transport business by automobile.

The head of the transportation business unit must enhance their responsibility in managing the unit's transportation operations; assign staff to regularly monitor the unit's drivers and vehicles throughout the passenger transportation process through data from vehicle tracking devices and surveillance cameras installed on the vehicles, in order to promptly correct and remind drivers when detecting speeding or exceeding the permitted continuous driving time.

Officers from the Traffic Police Department ( Dak Lak Provincial Police) conduct an administrative check on the driver of a passenger bus.

Bus station management units fully comply with legal regulations regarding bus stations in managing passenger transport operations by automobile; and strengthen inspection and control of the technical condition of vehicles before departure.

The Transport Management Department (under the Department of Construction) is strengthening inspections and supervision of compliance with legal regulations related to business operations and conditions for road transport businesses at transport companies. This is to promptly advise the Department's leadership on issuing corrective documents and taking measures to handle violating units.

The Infrastructure Development Department (under the Department of Construction) is tasked with reviewing and supplementing the road signage system and organizing traffic in a rational and scientific manner on national highways and local roads under its management; and enhancing the safety features of the transportation infrastructure system in areas with complex traffic conditions…
