On July 14, according to information from the Ministry of Health , the Drug Administration of Vietnam has just sent a document to the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities; Drug and pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing establishments; Drug and pharmaceutical ingredient exporting and importing establishments requesting to strengthen inspection and supervision of the trading of pharmaceutical ingredients, especially pharmaceutical ingredients that must be specially controlled.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam said that recently, the business and production of some products related to human health that do not comply with the law have been discovered by authorities.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct pharmaceutical ingredient wholesalers operating in the area to conduct business, report, and use pharmaceutical ingredients in accordance with the provisions of the law on pharmaceuticals; strictly prohibit pharmaceutical business activities as prescribed in Article 6 of the 2016 Pharmacy Law.
Relevant units shall strengthen inspection and supervision of the trading of pharmaceutical ingredients in the area, especially pharmaceutical ingredients that must be specially controlled to ensure that trading is in accordance with pharmaceutical laws; strictly handle violations (if any) and send reports to the Department of Drug Administration.
For establishments producing drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients; establishments exporting and importing drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requires the production, export, import, trading and use of pharmaceutical ingredients for the right purposes and in accordance with the provisions of the law on pharmaceuticals; Fully and timely report according to the provisions of law and when requested by competent authorities./.
