Strengthening coordination of people-to-people diplomacy

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations have just signed the Regulations on coordination of people-to-people diplomacy and overseas Vietnamese in the period of 2024-2029. Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hoan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Pham Van Bay; Vice Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations Le Hoai Linh chaired the signing ceremony.

 

Accordingly, the three agencies agreed to sign and issue a coordination regulation with 7 contents related to the implementation of central and provincial documents on people's foreign affairs and overseas Vietnamese affairs; building a database of Phu Yen people abroad; organizing direct or online contacts to dialogue and mobilize Phu Yen people abroad, especially the young generation, experts, intellectuals, and businessmen to actively contribute to the development of the province. At the same time, introduce OCOP products, typical of the province to other countries when possible; improve the operational capacity of the network of cadres working on people's foreign affairs and overseas Vietnamese affairs...

 

Speaking at the signing ceremony, comrade Nguyen Quoc Hoan affirmed that the signing of this coordination regulation is of great significance, contributing to the building of a comprehensive and modern diplomacy with three pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people's diplomacy. The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested that the specialized departments and offices advising and assisting the three agencies need to develop specific and detailed plans for each year to carry out tasks practically and effectively in the period of 2024-2029.
