Strengthening image promotion of the Mekong Delta

On October 3, in Can Tho City, the Vietnam Television Center for the Southwest Region (VTV Can Tho) held a conference on "Enhancing information about the Mekong Delta on Vietnam Television".

The conference was attended by leaders of provinces, cities, armed forces in the Southwest region; leaders of local media units; resident agencies of press units, along with experts and partners in the field of media.

In the context of the whole country promoting socio -economic development, the Mekong Delta affirms its position as one of the important strategic regions, making great contributions to food security, agricultural exports and marine economic development.

Along with that, the successful organization of the Party Congresses in localities in the region has established development directions, strengthened trust and created a solid political foundation for the new period. In that journey, information and communication work plays a key role, helping to spread the image of the land and people of the Mekong Delta to audiences across the country and international friends.

At the conference, journalist Vo Ngoc Van Quan, Director of VTV Can Tho emphasized: “The Mekong Delta is not only the country’s rice, fruit and seafood granary, but also a land rich in cultural identity and gentle and creative people. Increasing the region’s content on national television is an important political task, and at the same time, VTV’s commitment to accompany the sustainable development of the region.”

With the position and role of the national television channel in the region, VTV Can Tho affirms to continue to closely coordinate with localities, agencies, organizations, and businesses in the region to produce many news, special programs, documentaries, and reports, reflecting the breath of life and development aspirations of the Mekong Delta on the broadcasting and digital platforms of Vietnam Television.

At the conference, delegates highly appreciated VTV Can Tho's efforts in recent times, and expressed their goodwill to cooperate and accompany the station's programs in the coming time.
