HNN.VN - On June 18, the Office of the City Party Committee announced that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has just issued Directive No. 67 on strengthening the Party's leadership in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

In recent times, the situation of smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit and poor quality goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights has become complicated and sophisticated, seriously affecting the investment environment, legitimate rights of consumers, social order and safety, and the reputation of legitimate businesses.

In order to promptly and comprehensively lead and direct the work of preventing and combating the above-mentioned violations of the law, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee requests Party committees and authorities at all levels to strengthen their leadership and comprehensive direction in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the assigned areas and fields. The heads of local Party committees and authorities are directly responsible to the higher-level Party committees for the results of their leadership and direction in implementing this task.

Urgently organize a comprehensive review and assessment of the practical situation and current status of management, supervision, inspection, specialized examination, and post-inspection of State management agencies in relevant fields.

The Party Committee of the City People's Committee leads and directs the City People's Committee to establish an interdisciplinary working group with appropriate participants; at the same time, resolutely directs the Market Management force to preside over and closely coordinate with functional agencies to strengthen market inspection, examination and control; and strictly handle violations.

Regularly organize periodic and unscheduled inspections and controls, resolutely and strictly handle organizations and individuals who assist, condone, or cover up illegal activities, with the motto "handling one case, warning the whole region and the whole field", ensuring the province deters, prevents, and contributes to maintaining discipline and law in the area.
