On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), at the Nursing Center for People with Meritorious Services, on July 25, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with Dan Tri Newspaper (Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs) to organize a gift-giving program to show gratitude to families with meritorious services to the revolution. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Dao Hong Van, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Colonel To Thanh Quyet, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Nguyen Hung Nam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of Dan Tri Newspaper.
Before entering the program, delegates observed a minute of silence to express their respect for President Ho Chi Minh , their infinite sorrow for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and their gratitude to the heroic martyrs.
In recent times, the implementation of preferential policies, care for people with revolutionary contributions and the province's gratitude work has been organized and implemented promptly and comprehensively, such as: Supporting people with revolutionary contributions in terms of housing, health care, health insurance support, visiting, giving gifts and policies for relatives of people with revolutionary contributions... On average, each year, the province allocates about 65 billion VND, the gratitude fund at all levels mobilizes about 10 billion VND to carry out the work of showing gratitude to people with revolutionary contributions. With the attention of Party committees, authorities and people in the province, in 2021, Hung Yen province has completed the goal of 100% of households of people with revolutionary contributions having a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living of local people where they reside...
Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia respectfully sent to the delegates who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution his warm greetings and deep gratitude. He affirmed that, together with the whole country, our province has seriously implemented the regimes and policies for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution. All levels and sectors in the province have promptly institutionalized policies and laws on preferential treatment for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution. The movement of gratitude has increasingly gone into depth, mobilizing the whole society and community to participate in caring for war invalids, relatives of martyrs, and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution through many specific and practical actions.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the losses and sacrifices of war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution are irreplaceable. That requires the State, society and all people to continue to pay more attention and care, improving the lives of war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution. In the coming time, Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations in the province will continue to widely propagate the Party and State's policies and guidelines for people with meritorious services to the revolution; take practical, specific and active actions to contribute to the good implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services; make the movement of Gratitude a regular activity in all aspects of social life. Continue to do a better job of renovating and embellishing martyrs' cemeteries and works honoring martyrs; step up the search, identification of martyrs, and collection of martyrs' remains...
At the program, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia and delegates presented gifts to 77 families with meritorious services, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and the Nursing and Care Center for People with Meritorious Services. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hung Nam symbolically presented 1 billion VND from the Provincial Gratitude Fund to representatives of leaders of districts, towns and cities to support people with meritorious services to the revolution with housing in localities in the province (support level of 20 million VND/family of people with meritorious services). Hung Yen Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. presented 327 million VND to support the Provincial Gratitude Fund.
