(QBĐT) - This morning, May 16, Ba Don Town organized the emulation congress for victory of the town's armed forces for the period 2019-2024.

Attending the event were comrade Truong An Ninh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Ba Don Town Party Committee, Secretary of the Town Military Party Committee; Colonel Dinh Xuan Huong, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; and representatives of leaders of units and localities.

Over the past 5 years, the Ba Don Town Military Command has organized and implemented many international emulation movements with rich, diverse and in-depth contents and forms. The emulation movements have become a driving force to motivate officers and soldiers to strive to improve and successfully complete assigned political tasks, contributing to building the all-people national defense (ND) and building the town's military increasingly strong.

The effective implementation of the patriotic movement of the Ba Don Town Military Region has created positive changes in the moral qualities, lifestyles, and responsibilities of cadres and party members, and in the work of building and rectifying the Party, improving leadership capacity, fighting strength, building clean and strong Party committees and organizations associated with building strong and comprehensive agencies and units. Every year, over 85% of commune and ward bases ensure the quality of building strong bases, safety, mastery, and combat readiness.

With the motto "Solidarity, creativity, determination to win", in the period of 2024-2029, the Ba Don Town Military Region sets the goal of promoting comprehensive strength, dynamism, creativity, in accordance with the actual situation; proactively overcoming difficulties, advising on the successful completion of local military and defense tasks, building a national defense and security posture associated with the people's security posture, building an increasingly solid defense area, contributing to the effective implementation of socio -economic development goals, consolidating national defense and security, building a strong and clean Party organization, and comprehensively strong agencies and units.

Speaking at the congress, Secretary of the Ba Don Town Party Committee Truong An Ninh emphasized that in order to successfully implement the goals and tasks for the 2024-2029 period, the commanders of the town's armed forces agencies and units must focus on leading and directing the promotion of the patriotic emulation movement, aiming to create a new breakthrough; continue to thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation, policies and guidelines on emulation and reward work, making the patriotic emulation movement of the armed forces truly become a self-consciousness in each officer and soldier; synchronously implement measures to create a qualitative change in the patriotic emulation movement; emulation must closely follow the political tasks of the armed forces, units, and localities and be associated with the goals of socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security in the area.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Don Town awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 13 individuals for their achievements in implementing the TĐQT movement in the period 2019-2024.
