Viet FARM's factory meets HACCP standards

“Our first starting point was the greenhouse system in Lam Vien ward - Da Lat ( Lam Dong ). From the initial gardens, we have now expanded the production area to Bac Gia Nghia ward. This locality has a similar climate and soil to Da Lat. Here, we are producing tomatoes, sweet peppers, lettuce, baby broccoli, vegetables with cold-weather flavors,” said Mr. Pham Anh Hung - Head of Quality Management Department of Viet FARM Co., Ltd., a company specializing in clean vegetable production.

As one of the enterprises specializing in producing, processing, and bringing temperate vegetables to supermarket systems nationwide, Viet FARM aims to diversify its products to supply goods to the diverse needs of customers. Currently, the enterprise has built a 10-hectare greenhouse system in Bac Gia Nghia, applying GlobalGAP farming standards with the goal of exporting.

At Bac Gia Nghia farm, Viet FARM also applies the same farming techniques as Lam Vien Da Lat farm, ensuring the same quality of agricultural products. “Our goal is to export Lam Dong vegetables to markets such as the Czech Republic, Japan, and South Korea. Therefore, the company has applied certificates that meet the requirements of partner markets such as GlobalGAP in the fields and HACCP in the processing factory,” said Mr. Pham Anh Hung.

Ms. Nguyen Tu Uyen - Head of the Department of Professional Affairs, Lam Dong Province Department of Standards and Quality Measurement said that in 2024, the department supported Viet FARM in building HACCP standards for the enterprise's processing factory to eliminate risks of food safety and hygiene. Viet FARM is an enterprise with a wide distribution system in the domestic market, with clear export goals. In addition to GlobalGAP and HACCP certifications, Viet FARM has built a Korean COC (Certificate of Conformity) Certificate, confirming that the product meets the technical standards and safety regulations of Korea. In addition, Lam Dong's agricultural sector also supports farmers associated with the company to build a cultivation process according to VietGAP standards, meeting the requirements of improving the quality of temperate highland vegetable areas.

In addition to growing itself, in Lam Dong, Viet FARM also cooperates with nearly 40 farmers to purchase popular agricultural products. According to Mr. Hung, for "difficult" vegetables, the company takes the initiative to produce. As for agricultural products that require higher temperatures, the company cooperates with farmers throughout the province to cultivate and purchase products. "The company's products have achieved GlobalGAP certification, and those of cooperative farmers have achieved VietGAP certification. Our goal is to provide customers with quality, safe agricultural products," Mr. Pham Anh Hung informed.
