Alstom (1928) is one of the world's leading companies in the field of providing transportation solutions, with a turnover of 18.5 billion Euros in fiscal year 2024, said Mr. Henri Poupart-Laffarge, CEO of Alstom Group.
Alstom has been present in Vietnam for more than 30 years and has since been actively involved in Vietnam's infrastructure development projects such as the railway signaling and telecommunications system modernization plan; providing E&M core electrical equipment systems for Hanoi metro line No. 3 (Nhon- Hanoi station) which began commercial operation in August 2024.

The Group wishes to accelerate the construction progress of Hanoi Metro Line 3 - Phase 2, Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 2 and other new routes by 2035, with a vision to 2045; wishes to participate in the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City high-speed railway project; is willing to share high-speed railway technology and cooperate with Vietnamese enterprises to develop the national railway industry.
Welcoming the proposals, the Prime Minister emphasized that cooperation with France is an important part in implementing new railway projects in Vietnam, and asked the group to work with the Ministry of Construction and related businesses and units to carry out specific work.
Alstom has experience in Hanoi in implementing urban railway projects. The Prime Minister emphasized that in the coming time, cooperation must be done faster and more effectively; he suggested that the group transfer technology, provide preferential loans and train human resources in the railway sector.
