Training on foreign information and human rights

Trainees were informed by lecturers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Information and Communications , and the Government's Steering Committee on Human Rights on the main contents: Instructions on implementing groups of tasks and key solutions in Resolution No. 47/NQ-CP, dated April 15, 2024 of the Government on the Government's Action Program to 2030; implementing Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW, dated June 15, 2023 of the Politburo on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation; core and central issues of Conclusion No. 71-KL/TW, dated February 16, 2024 of the Politburo on a number of major tasks and solutions to implement the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress; human rights work in the past and information and propaganda orientations in the coming time.

Leaders of the Propaganda Department of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee attended the conference.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, assessed that after one year of implementing Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information in the new situation, provinces and cities have seriously grasped, researched, concretized, advised on the issuance of leadership and direction documents and organized the implementation in a synchronous and effective manner.

He emphasized that we are in an important stage of preparing for the 14th National Congress of the Party, along with taking on important responsibilities on the international level, especially Vietnam being a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2023-2025 term and re-election for the 2026-2028 term, opportunities and advantages are intertwined with new challenges. Among them, there will be conflicting information flows, distorting the domestic situation.

Leaders of provinces and cities further enhance their roles and responsibilities in leadership, direction, administration and organization of implementation of tasks and solutions in Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW; thoroughly grasp and raise awareness among cadres, party members and people about the importance of foreign information work, ensuring and promoting human rights in Vietnam to enhance the image and position of the country.

At the same time, review, consolidate and improve the effectiveness of leadership and direction of the Steering Committee for foreign information work from the central to grassroots levels, continue to focus on building and training a team of cadres working in foreign information work in provinces and cities across the country.
